Hi We are looking for ideas to make stairs safer, and stop noise travelling upstairs.

At present there is no bannister to the stairs. They lead straight out of the kitchen, which can make it noisy upstairs. (bottom picture)

We are thinking of maybe using glass and wood to make a screen on the stairs, similar to examples below.

Would like to stop some noise, but keep the light. Upstairs landing is dark, no window.
