How am I supposed to know?

I'm getting a runner and carpet installed next week. Was speaking with the installer tonite and he asked me if I want to do full stairs instead of runner or vice versa. What do I do? Which typically looks better? Have plenty of carpet left over to do either. Thanks for any input!

I would definitely do a runner with that fabric. Runners look very classy and show off the beautiful wood stairs on the sides.

Beautiful stairs! No need to cover them up with a full tread carpet. A runner will work just beautifully. Where's the carpet being installed? Upstairs or over the hardwood?

Runner , but no more than three inches of wood exposed on sides at narrowest point. They're already narrow : )

Cancork Floor Inc. - upstairs in a small hallway the carpet will cover the hardwood. Thanks for the input!
