Why is the TV area so large yet the TV, so small.

Seems like a waste of space. I love the rock work, but fill it up alittle more. If that area was designed for the TV, your eye focuses on the rock work instead of the TV due to it over powering in terms of space.

It is common to have this size TV in Europe, making focal point out of TV is not a good design... and the room is widened by the camera objective...

I agree with Michael plus the tv should be mounted on the wall and all of those bloody cables hide from sight. You say not focal point but the rest of the room is perfect, I can't help but look at the out of place tv / cables.
