Colour of front door

Hi everyone, I am looking for suggestions on what colour to paint our new front door. The safe option in my mind would be to paint it the dark grey same as the accent colour in the picket fence, but I am wondering if I should paint it a different colour to make it more of a feature? The architrave around the door we are planning to paint white....

I agree with big reader. Make it happy.

Remember it is the first thing visitors see. Lead them to your entry with yellow, orange or bright green. Maybe you would like red. Haver a big glazed planter of the same colour beside the door.

Make the fence gate the same colour for continuity.

I'd be tempted to go Monument as mentioned, or a glossy black! Dramatic effect...!

Thanks heaps for the suggestions. Originally I was thinking of softer colour like mauve but then we got our roof repainted which has changed the look of the house. I now think it could handle a stronger colour but will have to mull it over. Thanks again!

A mustardy yellow would be nice with grey

If you go safe with the door colour, like grey, add colour with a big pot of geraniums
