TruGrain made with Resysta is able to be used in all climates. There are
a number of projects in states with hot climates. It's important to
read the installation instructions to take into account the
    expansion/contraction coefficient when installing.

Resysta has been very good in hot climates. There is quite a bit of it in Florida and they just have to allow for expansion joints when installing. The stains have also held their color and met all expectations.

How about heat retention? If used on a horizontal surface like a deck? How does it transit heat? Probably hot..??

As with all materials the darker the color the more heat gets
absorbed / retained. There are heat reflective pigments in the stains but this
only reduces not eliminates the heat absorption. If you are looking to walk
barefoot on any deck I would suggest going to a lighter color.
