This, and all of our roof decks, employ a raised pedestal flooring system made by Bison. All the pavers you see are held up above the actual waterproofing surface, which is a single-ply continuous membrane material, anywhere from 3/4" to 18" depending upon the roof slope. This allows for good drainage and ensures that people walking or dropping objects which might compromise the waterproof membrane, will not occur. And it allows for easy repairs by being able to lift up any loose-laid paver and access and patch the actual roof below it

. The pavers are not adhered or set in mortarbed, they are sitting on their corners on a Bison pedestal at each point where 4 pavers meet. The pavers in this case are by Specstones Studio, "Mirage" style, Spirit SD-03 color, 12x48" tile size and were designed to be used with the Bison pedestal system.
