Which brand direct vent gas fireplace insert is best?

We are replacing our ventless gas fireplace insert with a direct vent gas fireplace insert (moving old insert to basement fireplace). We are looking at a Heatnglo Escape 135. They are so expensive we don't want to make a mistake. Is this a good brand or other recommendations or suggestions? Thank you.

    What brands are available at your local stove/fireplace shop?

    Keep shopping there are many brands to choose from. Look at Mendota, Regency and Iron Strike are to name a few quality brands w/ great warranties and models to choose from.

    Mendota's are gorgeous and so realistic looking. The remotes are terrific too.
