The picture is a little difficult to see the details of the house but you could obviously paint it (I would recommend a darker, more saturated color), add some wood detailing to the exterior to create a contrast, change out the planter boxes to be more modern, change the entry door to a more modern looking one, switch out garage door to one that has frosted glass panes and is trimmed out in wood. Oh, and you could add some more modern light fixtures/lighting. Good luck!

2.) Change the garage door ( good place to add color)

3.) Paint the two different sidings different colors, and... this is the most important...

4.) Get rid of the second story roof overhang over the front entry. Instead, add a cantilevered overhang directly above the front door. Splits rule!
