Maria - Yes you are correct. The leather is called "com". Otherwise - "customers own material". Since this was a solid color there was no waste that you might have if you choose a printed fabric, especially when it is a larger scale print. Ballard is very good with processing "com".

I called at Ballards and they told me that they don't work with leather . I will try back because I do love the look of the chairs but I want them with magenta leather...

Try a synthetic leather as an option. If that fails just order them in the least expensive fabric. Ship them and find a local upholstery resource to cover them for you.
