these are def soft fabric to gather at top like this....I prefer white cotton ...crisper outdoor look...practical ..more substantial feel better protection sun/wind....you could use sheers ( IKEA.....$5 a SET!) at both ends or where you want movement....painters drop cloths GREAT for everthing
