How is the couch's upholstery in great condition with a CAT in the house??

Do not fear indoor kitties with claws. As long-time cat owner I speak from experience when I say that most spayed/neutered cats will not scratch your upholstery or carpets, as long as you provide them with a suitable scratching device. Mine use a piece of wood covered in sisal material that lays flat on the floor - they love it! However, I would advise avoiding nubby fabrics and berber-style carpeting.
