It really would be nice if Stonewood would answer some questions. Maybe they should change their name to Stonewon't.

either fiber cement, lp smart siding or old reverse board and batten. Not vinyl for sure. Looks like 16" on center

like so many upscale home builders, they'll build you a phat house but won't help you with squat otherwise!

Typically the batts are at 16" on center. That way the cover the verticle joints between the plywood sheets and can also be nailed to the studs behind the plywood. Assuming that they match a pleasant layout. But, typically, they are 16" on center.
