Insect Screens

I notice there are no insect screens in these photos. How do you control insects coming into the home?

Hi Danni. All timber windows have removable cedar frame screens. This was our own home at the time these photos were taken. As I'm not a fan of screens, I remove them during the colder months when we have no real problem with insects flying in. Generally I only use screens on bedroom windows to keep out any mozzies. A good trick to keeping insects out is by keeping exterior/deck lighting that much greater than interior lighting. FYI, we give our clients the option of phantom retractable screens for our large bifold door openings. Cheers.

Thank you for the quick reply!
Totally about about not being fans of screens. I hate having to put them over beautiful timber windows.

How did you run screens over the Louvres? Of you didn't?

    Thank you

yes we do...the window frame depth is deep enough to accommodate their opening without interference. m :-)
