In collaboration with DeLuna Designs, Shanae Mobley of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Springfield, VA designed a transitional two-finish kitchen remodel featuring Merillat Classic and Masterpiece cabinetry. The perimeter cabinets are Merillat Classic in the Portrait 5-piece door style in the Cotton finish, paired with Merillat Masterpiece island cabinets in the Martel door style in Rustic Alder with a Husk finish. Location was a key factor for the developer of these 72 luxury beachfront condominiums in New Rochelle, NY, offering prime real estate with spectacular water views, all within a short commute to New York City. An unusual aspect of this project was the developer’s commitment to offer prospective buyers completely customizable interior buildouts. The architect and developer teamed with Bilotta to devise a program offering 17 stains, 17 paint finishes and a variety of door styles, giving homeowners total control of their kitchen and bathroom details and accessories, a significant and successful selling point. In this particular unit, sand, surf, and sunshine are transported indoors with light-reflecting white cabinetry atop natural oak flooring, punctuated by a slate blue island that seats five. Practical blue-gray quartz countertops are a complementary echo of the island’s hue. A generous molding treatment emphasizes the tall ceiling height. There’s plenty of room for two pantry cabinets, as well as a wine refrigerator in the island. “Flying Saucer” island pendants and a cubist dining chandelier add contemporary flair. The stunning highlight of each residence is a 30-foot-long wall of glass facing the water. With 2,400- 2,700 square feet apiece, the proportions of the open plan kitchen, dining and family room live like a gracious freestanding home. A North Albany family contacted us wanting to expand, update, and open up their Kitchen to the Family Room. The floor plan of this home actually had plenty of space but it wasn’t being well-utilized, with angled walls in the pantry and a corner kitchen and island layout. By removing the double-sided fireplace and built-in bookcases closing off the Family Room, removing the closed-off bar area, and re-imagining the awkward walk-in pantry and kitchen layout, our Designer, Sarah envisioned an expansive Kitchen footprint that connected all the key areas and significantly increased the amount of available storage and countertop space, making this Kitchen the perfect entertaining environment! Replacing the cherry cabinetry, black granite countertops, and dark hardwood floors with white shaker upper cabinets, dark green lower cabinets, light-colored hardwood flooing, and a new lighting design completely transformed the space from dark and compartmentalized, to bright and open. This Kitchen is full of brilliant custom pieces and organization cabinets, including a HIDDEN walk-in pantry (which is the family’s favorite)!

Large kitchen remodel in Littleton, CO. This is a beautiful blend of two different frameless cabinet lines in two different finishes. The kitchen perimeter is Eclipse in Polar white paint and the island is Dura Supreme in quarter-sawn white oak in Coriander stain finish. The white countertops are Pental quartz material with bold gray veining to show some movement in the design.

Notable design elements for the kitchen include the wood ceiling, custom designed hood by TZS, oversized island and built-in breakfast nook. The floor is porcelain tile, counters are marble looking quartz. The island and hood feature polished nickel metal accent metal trim. The breakfast nook features a built in banquette. This is a great way to save space to create a fun unique space in the room. The banquette uses a Crypton protected fabric so any spills area easy to clean.
