Transitional Remodel with Geometric Trim

This was a whole house remodel, the owners are more transitional in style, and they had a lot of special requests including the suspended bar seats on the bar, as well as the geometric circles that were custom to their space. The doors, moulding, trim work and bar are all completely custom to their aesthetic interests. We tore out a lot of walls to make the kitchen and living space a more open floor plan for easier communication, The hidden bar is to the right of the kitchen, replacing the previous closet pantry that we tore down and replaced with a framed wall, that allowed us to create a hidden bar (hidden from the living room) complete with a tall wine cooler on the end of the island. In this kitchen, Medallion Gold Full Overlay Maple cabinets in the door style Madison Raised Panel with Harvest Bronze with Ebony Glaze and Highlights finish. The Wine bar furniture piece is Medallion Brookhill Raised Panel with White Chocolate Classic Paint finish with Mocha Highlights. The countertop is Cambria Bradshaw Quartz in 3cm with ledge edge and 4” backsplash on coffee bar. Warm Transitional Kitchen

The remodel took traffic flow and appliance placement into consideration. The refrigerator was relocated to an area closer to the sink and out of the flow of traffic. Recessed lighting and under-cabinet lighting now flood the kitchen with warm light. The closet pantry and a half wall between the family room and kitchen were removed and a peninsular with seating area was added to provide a large work surface, storage on both sides and shelving with baskets to store homework, craft items and books. Opening this area up provided a welcoming spot for friends and family to gather when entertaining. The microwave was placed at a height that was safe and convenient for the whole family. Cabinets taken to the ceiling, large drawers, pantry roll-outs and a corner lazy susan have helped make this kitchen a pleasure to gather as a family.

Storage was a top priority for this small kitchen, therefore many of the cabinets offer a hidden storage gem- two tiered wood cutlery tray, base recycle cabinet, tray divider, base swing up mixer shelf, roll out shelves a tall pantry and a lazy susan. The peninsula offers seating for two and allows guests to visit with the chef. Luxury vinyl tile was used on the floor and a Wilsonart HD Laminate countertop in Summer Carnival with a stainless steel under-mount sink amps up the high end feel without breaking the bank especially when topped off with the applied edge profile that allowed all sides of the peninsula to be receive that beautiful cascade edge.

This kitchen kept it's blend of medium stained cherry, but punched it out with "blue lagoon" island cabinetry and proves again that Corian continues to have a place in the kitchen. Ⅰ型ペニンシュラキッチン
Ⅰ型ペニンシュラキッチンは最も一般的なレイアウトで、シンク、調理台、コンロ、冷蔵庫が横一線に並んだタイプのペニンシュラキッチンです。最近では、対面カウンターを付けて背面に収納スペースと冷蔵庫を置くなど、Ⅱ型やアイランド型に似たタイプのレイアウトも人気です。
Ⅱ型ペニンシュラキッチン
Ⅱ型キッチンはシンク、調理台、コンロ、冷蔵庫を2カ所に分け、平行に配置することで調理スペースを広げるレイアウトです。調理の際の動線が短くなるというメリットがあります。
L型ペニンシュラキッチン
L型ペニンシュラキッチンは、シンク、調理台、コンロがL字型に配置されたレイアウトです。ワークトライアングルを作りやすく、動線をコンパクトに抑えることができます。
アイランドペニンシュラキッチン
アイランドペニンシュラキッチンは独立型ペニンシュラキッチンとも呼ばれ、シンク、調理台などを壁面から独立させて設置するレイアウトです。調理台を囲むように作業ができるため、家族や友人など複数で楽しみながらキッチンを共有できます。ホームパーティーや料理教室をする際にも便利でしょう。
ペニンシュラペニンシュラキッチン
ペニンシュラは英語で「半島」を意味します。ペニンシュラキッチンの左右どちらかが壁に接しているレイアウトを指します。調理スペースがオープンになっているため、リビングやダイニングにいる方とコミュニケーションを取りながら調理できるというメリットがあります。

ビルトイン機器の選択

トランジショナルスタイルのペニンシュラキッチンタイプのレイアウト見直しと同時に、ビルトイン機器も検討されてみてはいかがでしょうか。ビルトイン機器とは、建物や家具、設備などの中に組み込んで利用する機器を指します。システムキッチンには、ビルトインコンロ、レンジフード、オーブンレンジ、食器洗浄乾燥機を組み込むことが可能です。ビルトインであればスタイリッシュにペニンシュラキッチンに溶け込み、インテリアの邪魔にもなりません。新築やリフォームの際に取り入れることをおすすめします。

ビルトインコンロ
ビルトインコンロには、それぞれ火力の異なるバーナーを組み合わせた3つ口タイプが一般的です。天板素材はガラストップが主流となっていますが、他にガラスコート、フッ素コート、ホーロー、アルミ、ステンレスなどがあります。使い勝手やデザイン、価格などを考慮して選択しましょう。
食器洗浄乾燥機
食器洗浄乾燥機 (食洗機) は手洗いよりも少ない水量できれいに食器を洗浄することができるため、新築やペニンシュラキッチンのリフォーム時には食洗機の導入をおすすめします。国内製のビルトイン食洗機の場合は引き出し式になっているタイプが多いのに対し、海外製のビルトイン食洗機は前開き式になっているものが一般的です。国内製・海外製それぞれで、設置業者や設置可能なシステムペニンシュラキッチンが異なる場合があるため注意しましょう。

収納スペースのアイデア

いかにデッドスペースを活かすかがペニンシュラキッチン収納のコツです。％Topicの収納は限られているため、多くの食器や調理器具、調味料などを片付けるための工夫が必要です。ビルトイン機器も限られたスペースできれいに収納する工夫のひとつといえるでしょう。システムペニンシュラキッチンの収納スペース以外のキッチン収納スペースとしては、床下収納が代表的です。床下の他に、壁面収納なども人気です。壁面収納の場合、食器や調理器具だけでなくペニンシュラキッチン家電までも収納し、スタイリッシュで生活感の出ないペニンシュラキッチンを演出することもできるでしょう。
