123 Remodeling crew and our in-house interior designer Jenna Rose completely renovated this large kitchen in Skokie, Illinois. Our team created a fresh and modern space to cook and gather with family and friends over a large dining table. We started with structural changes and demolished a load-bearing wall between the kitchen and dining area to create an open concept. Then we built a massive Carrera marble quartz island that is as functional as luxurious looking with a built-in wine cooler, dishwasher, and microwave. Three stylish pendant lights and a dozen of recessed can lights make the room feel larger and brighter. We opted-in for a counter-depth stainless sub-zero refrigerator and encased it with a custom-made cabinet extension. While white is traditional and the most popular color for kitchens, it's easy for such a room to look stark and cold. So our designer mixed glossy white cabinets with gray backsplash tiles and white-gray countertops. We also intermixed it with the natural oak shelves and plant decor to add warm contrasting elements. A realisation of our bespoke freestanding kitchen kitchen concept in beautiful sustainable British Ash. So many bespoke features, clever storage solutions and custom designed products. A huge deli style bespoke shelving unit with solid Ash ladder and integrated rail design marks the entrance to the kitchen wrapping around some beautiful reeded glass wall units and our freestanding kitchen units. Features included bespoke veg bin, occasional table and a huge bespoke larder unit with spice racks

A Blue Star range and dramatic custom hood anchor the main wall. Open metal shelves keep the space open and reveal more of the stunning Imperial Danby marble book-matched backsplash. Imperial Danby is used on all the countertops.

Bakes & Kropp remodeled this former showhouse kitchen to reflect the personalities of its owners—and with 450 square feet to work with, the team had plenty of space to be creative. The kitchen now includes two sinks, two dishwashers, two fridges, and a large French Top stove to support the owner’s preferred cooking style. The space is elegant but comfortable and carefully blends a mixture of walnut, painted cabinetry, stone, and metal accents. Just a few standout design details include the walnut ceiling patterning, the metal mesh overlay on the cabinet doors sourced from Armac Martin, and a custom range hood unlike any the Bakes & Kropp team had created before.
