We used a unique palate of materials to compose this one of a kind personal resort for our clients. They wanted a contemporary home that utilized regional materials and expressed the Southwest, but in a fresh new way. There is a surprise around every corner in this home as it meanders across the entire site. We collaborated with Joyce Crawford, and Charles Glover for interiors, and Wendy LeSeuer for Landscape design.

The front exterior of this modern custom home, situated on a very steep slop site in West Vancouver. You can see the home situated on top of the rock face, which was the original primary dwelling before we subdivided the lot and designed the Westport Residence.

“A Seattle homeowner hired Wittman Estes to design an affordable, eco-friendly unit to live in her backyard as a way to generate rental income. The modern structure is outfitted with a solar roof that provides all of the energy needed to power the unit and the main house. To make it happen, the firm partnered with NODE, known for their design-focused, carbon negative, non-toxic homes, resulting in Seattle’s first DADU (Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit) with the International Living Future Institute’s (IFLI) zero energy certification.”

Exterior façade of Wine Country modern home in St. Helena, California, with butterfly roof that integrates detached garage and open carport into the building design. The exterior western red cedar siding is stained a warm earthy tone to fit into the surrounding natural landscape.
Yarrow Sash & Door
This wood door perfectly compliments and enhances the modern design of this residence. Walnut was used for the door as well as the transom and the siding feature wall. Subtle v-groove details accent and enhance the design. Architectural bronze hardware was chosen in a similar shape to the door panels.

Home makeover on the Hill. An adorable home on the Hill was calling for an updated kitchen and bathroom. Working with the homeowner we redesigned the new spaces to offer functional space for both storage and entertaining. When renovating the existing addition on the back of the home, we noticed the current addition was falling off. We jumped right in and redesigned and delivered a safe new addition to become home to the new bathroom, extending the mudroom for more spacious space and was even able to install a stackable washer drawer cabinet for first floor access. The hardwood flooring was extended into the space so it looks as though it had always been there.
The Yard Stylist
This project in Morrison Ranch, Gilbert, AZ, comprises an Alumawood pergola, firepit, pavers, and decorative lighting. The installation of all these features has created an all-encompassing outdoor entertainment area for the homeowners. The brown and tan pavers work well with the earth tones of the firepit. The outdoor dining area coupled with the lighting means that the homeowner can enjoy meals outdoors when the sun goes down. After dinner, family and guests can relax around the firepit.
