Au cœur de la place du Pin à Nice, cet appartement autrefois sombre et délabré a été métamorphosé pour faire entrer la lumière naturelle. Nous avons souhaité créer une architecture à la fois épurée, intimiste et chaleureuse. Face à son état de décrépitude, une rénovation en profondeur s’imposait, englobant la refonte complète du plancher et des travaux de réfection structurale de grande envergure. L’une des transformations fortes a été la dépose de la cloison qui séparait autrefois le salon de l’ancienne chambre, afin de créer un double séjour. D’un côté une cuisine en bois au design minimaliste s’associe harmonieusement à une banquette cintrée, qui elle, vient englober une partie de la table à manger, en référence à la restauration. De l’autre côté, l’espace salon a été peint dans un blanc chaud, créant une atmosphère pure et une simplicité dépouillée. L’ensemble de ce double séjour est orné de corniches et une cimaise partiellement cintrée encadre un miroir, faisant de cet espace le cœur de l’appartement. L’entrée, cloisonnée par de la menuiserie, se détache visuellement du double séjour. Dans l’ancien cellier, une salle de douche a été conçue, avec des matériaux naturels et intemporels. Dans les deux chambres, l’ambiance est apaisante avec ses lignes droites, la menuiserie en chêne et les rideaux sortants du plafond agrandissent visuellement l’espace, renforçant la sensation d’ouverture et le côté épuré.

For all lovers of country style, we turn the hub of the home at @sundale_house, a 1920s home into a dream entertaining space that our client has dreamed about for so many years. When our client first moved into the property they only wanted to update the existing kitchen as they didn’t feel they needed to invest in a brand new kitchen at that time. Fast forward a few years later and we have completed the space with a handmade bespoke kitchen by PF. Each area is dedicated to something new and enticing and makes the kitchen a fun place to be. The home is full of all things hygge and the design is shown throughout cosy moments of comfort and appreciation being created in everyday life. The paint colours show this fabulously – Slaked Lime and Slaked Lime Dark both by Little Greene were chosen. We hand-painted the kitchen island in the dark colour of the two. Both colours are pure and neutral made with a combination of minerals to give a warm and soft appearance. Carefully considering the layout, an L-shape was best to take advantage of all walls and where an island could sit in the middle dividing the different zones of the living space. The space was also big enough for a separate bespoke unit that houses the Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer. When looking at the island in more detail this piece of furniture has been designed solely for a prep station. We are loving the frontage that is open with slated timber at the bottom. On the main kitchen run, we find not only a breakfast pantry but a dresser with plenty of bespoke storage for those items that are bulky for the main worktop. Both are built with bi-fold doors and integrated LED lighting, so each of the cabinets can be opened up into the space and closed away when not in use. In between these is the Steel Cucine Ascot Range Cooker in stainless steel with a stunning bespoke mantle positioned above and a hand-silvered antiqued mirror splashback. Taking our attention to other parts of the design, we find a beautiful sink area located underneath a window featuring a Shaws’ sink and Perrin & Rowe taps. There’s also plenty of alternative storage such as wooden open shelves, a hidden wine rack and convenient pull-out drawers. As the client stated… “styling and turning our 1920s house into our perfect family home.”

The dark grey units in this kitchen bring up a dazzling overall effect. This generous kitchen island clearly takes centre stage, effortlessly accommodating a Bora cooktop, a Stainless-Steel Glass Doors Caple Wine Cooler and—last but not least—our all favourite breakfast bar. We’re delighted to be able to show this, our latest project in Welwyn Garden City. More than ever, we need our homes to do so much. We want the kitchens functional and beautiful, the living areas comfortable yet practical with plenty of storage - and when it’s open plan living, like this one, we want the spaces to connect in a stylish and individual way. Choosing a supplier that creates hand built, bespoke cabinets and fitted furniture is the very best way to ensure all boxes are ticked! In this project the kitchen and living areas have been hand built in a classic Shaker style which is sure to stand the test of time but with some lovely contemporary touches. The mirror splashback, in the kitchen, allows the natural light to bounce around the kitchen and the copper accents are bright and stylish and keep the whole look current. The pendants are from tom Dixon @tom_dixon11. The cabinets are hand painted in F&B’s downpipe which is a favourite, and for good reason. It contrasts beautifully with their chalky Wimbourne White and, in an open plan living situation like this, it sets the kitchen area apart from living area. At Planet we love combining two finishes. Here, the Corian worktop in Vanilla sits beautifully with the Solid oak Breakfast bar which in itself is great with a wooden floor. The colours and finishes continue into the Living Room which unifies the whole look. The cupboards and shelving are painted in Wimbourne White with accents of the Downpipe on the back panels of the shelving. A drinks cabinet has become a popular addition to our projects, and no wonder! It’s a stylish and fun addition to the room. With doors closed it blends perfectly with the run of storage cupboards and open – no detail has been overlooked. It has integrated lighting and the worktop is the same Vanilla Corian as the kitchen. To complete the drinks cupboard a scalloped oak wine rack below has been hand built by our skilled craftsmen.

This contemporary, industrial-style dark grey kitchen was a major extension project for a family on the Watford Road. Our client wanted to transform their forever home into a perfect space for the family that is also great for entertaining friends. We used a dark grey colour palette combined with industrial design elements while keeping things light and airy throughout. The massive kitchen island is the perfect spot for both daily meals and hosting parties, and we added pendant lights above it to make it the centrepiece of the entire space. The handleless cabinets from Nobilia's Anti-Fingerprint line in Matt Graphite with Havana wood accents create an overall contemporary look. Meanwhile, Algarve Granite's polished quartz in Calacatta Luxo for worktops to lighten up and add a touch of elegance to the space. For appliances, we used Siemens, Quooker, Bora, and Fisher & Paykel. They aren't just stylish — they're easy to use and functional too! We also renovated their pantry and boot room to go along with the new kitchen. This major project would not have been possible without the help of Revamp Home Improvements.
