In the heart of a picturesque farmhouse in Oxford, this contemporary kitchen, blending modern functionality with rustic charm, was designed to address the client's need for a family space. This kitchen features the Audus 945 Easytouch and 961 Lacquered Laminate range, with a striking Graphite Black Ultra Matt finish. Creating a nice contrast to the dark cabinetry are the Pearl Concrete worktops supplied by Algarve Granite. The textured surface of the worktops adds depth and character while providing a durable and practical space for meal preparation. Equipped with top-of-the-line appliances from Siemens, Bora, and Caple, this kitchen adds efficiency to daily cooking activities. For washing and food preparation, two sinks are strategically placed — one on the kitchen counter and another on the centrally located island. The Blanco sink offers style and functionality, while the Quooker tap provides instant hot and cold water for convenience. Nestled within the island is an integrated drinks cooler to keep beverages chilled and easily accessible. Idéalement situé en plein cœur du Marais sur la mythique place des Vosges, ce duplex sur cour comportait initialement deux contraintes spatiales : sa faible hauteur sous plafond (2,09m au plus bas) et sa configuration tout en longueur. Le cahier des charges des propriétaires faisait quant à lui mention de plusieurs demandes à satisfaire : la création de trois chambres et trois salles d’eau indépendantes, un espace de réception avec cuisine ouverte, le tout dans une atmosphère la plus épurée possible. Pari tenu ! Le niveau rez-de-chaussée dessert le volume d’accueil avec une buanderie invisible, une chambre avec dressing & espace de travail, ainsi qu’une salle d’eau. Au premier étage, le palier permet l’accès aux sanitaires invités ainsi qu’une seconde chambre avec cabinet de toilette et rangements intégrés. Après quelques marches, le volume s’ouvre sur la salle à manger, dans laquelle prend place un bar intégrant deux caves à vins et une niche en Corian pour le service. Le salon ensuite, où les assises confortables invitent à la convivialité, s’ouvre sur une cuisine immaculée dont les caissons hauts se font oublier derrière des façades miroirs. Enfin, la suite parentale située à l’extrémité de l’appartement offre une chambre fonctionnelle et minimaliste, avec sanitaires et salle d’eau attenante, le tout entièrement réalisé en béton ciré. L’ensemble des éléments de mobilier, luminaires, décoration, linge de maison & vaisselle ont été sélectionnés & installés par l’équipe d’Ameo Concept, pour un projet clé en main aux mille nuances de blancs.

A four bedroom, two bathroom functional design that wraps around a central courtyard. This home embraces Mother Nature's natural light as much as possible. Whatever the season the sun has been embraced in the solar passive home, from the strategically placed north face openings directing light to the thermal mass exposed concrete slab, to the clerestory windows harnessing the sun into the exposed feature brick wall. Feature brickwork and concrete flooring flow from the interior to the exterior, marrying together to create a seamless connection. This classically designed mid-century modern home had a kitchen that had been updated in the1980’s and was ready for a makeover that would highlight its vintage charm. The backsplash is a combination of cement-look quartz for ease of maintenance and a Japanese mosaic tile. An expanded black aluminum window stacks open for more natural light as well as a way to engage with guests on the patio in warmer months. A polished concrete floor is a surprising neutral in this airy kitchen and transitions well to flooring in adjacent spaces.

Our clients wanted to create more space and re-configure the rooms they already had in this terraced house in London SW2. The property was just not big enough to accommodate their busy family life or for entertaining family and friends. They wanted a usable back garden too. One of the main ambitions was to create enough space downstairs for an additional family room combined with a large kitchen dining area. It was essential to be able to divide the different activity spaces too. The final part of the brief was to create something different. The design had to be more than the usual “box stuck on the back of a 1930s house.” Our solution was to look at several ambitious designs to deliver under permitted development. This approach would reduce the cost and timescale of the project significantly. However, as a back-up, we also applied to Lambeth Council for full planning permission for the same design, but with different materials such as a roof clad with zinc. Internally we extended to the rear of the property to create the large family-friendly kitchen, dining and living space our client wanted. The original front room has been divided off with steel framed doors that are double glazed to help with soundproofing. We used a hedgehog glazing system, which is very effective. The extension has a stepped plan, which helps to create internal zoning and to separate the different rooms’ functions. There is a non-symmetrical pitched roof, which is open internally up to the roof planes to maximise the feeling of space. The roof of the extension is clad in zinc with a concealed gutter and an overhang to provide shelter. Black bricks and dark grey mortar give the impression of one material, which ties into the colour of the glazing frames and roof. This palate brings all the elements of the design together, which complements a polished concrete internal floor and a stylish contemporary kitchen by Piqu.

We designed a split-level with a partial basement where the laundry room is located. The custom rift-sawn, oak wood perforated screen conceals the stairway leading to the second level. Seen here is the dining area and the custom kitchen island finished in a high-gloss blue lacquer.
