Refurbishment of a Grade II* Listed Country house with outbuildings in the Cotswolds. The property dates from the 17th Century and was extended in the 1920s by the noted Cotswold Architect Detmar Blow. The works involved significant repairs and restoration to the stone roof, detailing and metal windows, as well as general restoration throughout the interior of the property to bring it up to modern living standards. A new heating system was provided for the whole site, along with new bathrooms, playroom room and bespoke joinery. A new, large garden room extension was added to the rear of the property which provides an open-plan kitchen and dining space, opening out onto garden terraces.

Notre projet Jaurès est incarne l’exemple du cocon parfait pour une petite famille. Une pièce de vie totalement ouverte mais avec des espaces bien séparés. On retrouve le blanc et le bois en fil conducteur. Le bois, aux sous-tons chauds, se retrouve dans le parquet, la table à manger, les placards de cuisine ou les objets de déco. Le tout est fonctionnel et bien pensé. Dans tout l’appartement, on retrouve des couleurs douces comme le vert sauge ou un bleu pâle, qui nous emportent dans une ambiance naturelle et apaisante. Un nouvel intérieur parfait pour cette famille qui s’agrandit.

After many years of careful consideration and planning, these clients came to us with the goal of restoring this home’s original Victorian charm while also increasing its livability and efficiency. From preserving the original built-in cabinetry and fir flooring, to adding a new dormer for the contemporary master bathroom, careful measures were taken to strike this balance between historic preservation and modern upgrading. Behind the home’s new exterior claddings, meticulously designed to preserve its Victorian aesthetic, the shell was air sealed and fitted with a vented rainscreen to increase energy efficiency and durability. With careful attention paid to the relationship between natural light and finished surfaces, the once dark kitchen was re-imagined into a cheerful space that welcomes morning conversation shared over pots of coffee. Every inch of this historical home was thoughtfully considered, prompting countless shared discussions between the home owners and ourselves. Do we have your attention now? ?A kitchen with a theme is always fun to design and this colorful Escondido kitchen remodel took it to the next level in the best possible way. Our clients desired a larger kitchen with a Day of the Dead theme - this meant color EVERYWHERE! Cabinets, appliances and even custom powder-coated plumbing fixtures. Every day is a fiesta in this stunning kitchen and our clients couldn't be more pleased. Artistic, hand-painted murals, custom lighting fixtures, an antique-looking stove, and more really bring this entire kitchen together. The huge arched windows allow natural light to flood this space while capturing a gorgeous view. This is by far one of our most creative projects to date and we love that it truly demonstrates that you are only limited by your imagination.
