This is Lucy's story, she owns a property that she rents through housing association. She recently decided that it was time to renovate her property and asked ARA Home Design to take care of the kitchen area. She wants something fresh, simple and easy to maintain to accommodate a low budget but also create a beautiful modern and simplistic look!

A gorgeous kitchen remodeled from a builder’s basic, incorporating a palette of bright blue, soft grey and pops of warm copper. As a multi-generational home, it was really important to create smooth transitions, allowing ease of accessibility, and the client’s favourite colour, blue! We started, with removing a wall in the kitchen, that opened up the space to the much-used family room. We created an island with overhang for conversations with the cook, and a rest stop for Grandma. As all three adults have different dietary demands, a set of wall ovens was added, and a commercial grade range hood for lots of yummy food prep. Additional functional design features a new built-in buffet with storage, and a window bench seat. By adding a pendant light over the kitchen table, along with the beautiful big window, this space has been lovingly updated, showcasing the family’s personality and has now earned the most popular spot in the house. Our client, a hard working single lady, bought this condo knowing that things will need to change. The location was great with a beautiful view into the Nation's Capitol was a winner buy. The main layout of the condo was is but she knew that something will have to go! and that included the original kitchen from 1981 had to go! The closed layout and the laminate cabinets has no place in her vibrate life and passion for cooking. Looking at a few layout in the building, we deiced to take the layout to another direction, testing the limits of condo construction. At the end we managed to create an open and flowing space, connecting the living, dinning room and kitchen as one space. The gray, white with a touch of bling reflects the client's personality creating a space for her to experiment different cooking style, host a dinner party or just chill with a glass on wine.

Proof that you can do something special with a small space and a limited budget. The deep blue provides a design statement in itself whilst the white Corian worktops and table height breakfast bar make it a very practical space.

Площадь: 16,1 м.кв Город: Ярославль ‌ Заказчик: Семья из 3-х человек, с запросом на "минималистично, практично и в спокойных тонах, а ещё, желательно, побыстрее и сэкономить" ‌ ‌Задача: максимальное количество хранения в кухне, раскладывающийся диван на двоих, раздвижной стол для большого количества гостей, спрятать все коммуникации и котлы. Имеем: кухня с отделкой от застройщика, газовый котел со всеми подключениями по центру и горизонтальная газовая труба на пол стены. Решаем: в первую очередь, смотрим на план и делим кухню пополам. Слева гостей сажаем, справа кашеварим, а по центру, за полуостровом, совмещаем приятное с полезным. После чего, смотрим на котел, счетчик. Убираем их с глаз подальше, да так, чтобы ни один пытливый гость не догадался о том, что тут вообще было это буйство оборудования и коммуникаций. (По секрету - они в пеналах). Далее делаем реверанс перед Икеей и ставим между пеналами скромные раздвижной обеденный стол и стулья. Затем переходим к кухонному гарнитуру, думаем о бюджете, пару минут грустим и говорим себе: нет ничего невозможного. Чтобы заказчика кухня радовала как можно дольше, концепцию подминаем под реальные возможности и смотрим, что по рынку материалов. Определяемся с производителем МДФ для фасадов и столешницы, выбираем цвет из того, что имеем. А затем смотрим: что там по хорошей фурнитуре. На широкую ногу не гуляем, как и не ставим пуш-ту-оупен из поднебесной. Вместо этого, удлиняем фасады на пару см и открываем их, ловко хватаясь за заднюю поверхность (предупреждая вопросы - это удобно и практично) Диван ставим аккурат напротив телевизора и стола. Вы ведь знаете зачем он там? Верно, принимаем гостей наподольше, а в перерывах уминаем порцию супа за просмотром любимого сериала.
