This contemporary kitchen in Buckinghamshire, designed for a family spanning three generations, was nominated for a 2020 design award. This kitchen, like so many KCA kitchens, was designed with family at the heart of the project. What makes this kitchen design all the more special is the family’s involvement in the process - even the family dog, Pablo, attended the design consultation. The design is open-plan, with individual zones for cooking, dining and lounging in the informal living area. With three generations living together, the design ensures that each member of the family can enjoy the space both individually and together. The German Systemat cabinetry is finished in both Grey Pine and Putty Concrete, creating a contrasting palette that feels both warm and contemporary. The wooden textures are enhanced by sights of the garden available through the large bi-folding doors, which connect the kitchen to the outside. The peninsula kitchen island features a Silestone worktop and chunky L-shaped breakfast bar overhang, finished in two complementary tones. A smoked mirror feature wall provides the backdrop to the peninsula, detailed with open shelving; the perfect place to display the client's yoga ornaments.

Tired of their dated kitchen, the owners of this suburban colonial were eager for a contemporary update with more pantry space, better organization, and performance appliances. Monochromatic cabinetry in matte white lacquer set the sleek new vibe. Not even handles interrupt the flow, as cabinet channels and push-to-open hardware uphold the minimalist look. On the interior, the Great Room comprised of the Living Room, Kitchen and Dining Room features the space defining massive 18-foot long, triangular-shaped clerestory window pressed to the underside of the ranch’s main gable roofline. This window beautifully lights the Kitchen island below while framing a cluster of diverse mature trees lining a horse riding trail to the North 15 feet off the floor. The cabinetry of the Kitchen and Living Room are custom high-gloss white lacquer finished with Rosewood cabinet accents strategically placed including the 19-foot long island with seating, preparation sink, dishwasher and storage. The Kitchen island and aligned-on-axis Dining Room table are celebrated by unique pendants offering contemporary embellishment to the minimal space.

This tongue-twisting new installation is a recent design by Aron from our Worthing showroom and has been recently installed in the Partridge Green area. This kitchen uses German Nobilia furniture from the Stone Art and Touch ranges, with the stone-grey slate shade used from the Stone Art range and the slate grey supermatt shade used from the touch range. This kitchen interestingly uses two doors with contrasting textures, with the Stone Art door utilising a more rugged textured door and the Touch door being a silky ultra-matt finished door. This kitchen uses the modern option of handleless doors with a stainless-steel handrail used to allow seamless access to units. Again, in this kitchen a tambour unit features, with smoked black translucent screening and transparent glass shelving. A popular feature of the tambour units is to have an integrated plug socket, this allows smaller appliances like a toaster, kettle or radio to be stored in them without using exposed worktop space. Aron has also ‘framed’ this customers existing American fridge freezer with the Stone Art furniture to make a feature of the appliance.

We included high tech Neff appliances including the slide & hide oven and combination microwave. The surfaces are left uncluttered and there is so much more space to move around in.
