Long lead times and delays are a new normal. At European Kitchen Center, we adapt our business to new standards. We carefully planned this project to avoid extensive periods without cooking. With our help, the client could source and purchase all necessary products. The demolition started when we had cabinetry and all other parts in our possession. As a result, quick installation, pleased client, and a stunning kitchen. The client has opted for a two-tone finish; white lacquer and stunning wood veneer. It features handle-less cabinetry, contemporary design, and the latest in modern kitchen gadgets. PLEASE SEE THE BEFORE PICTUREBesides being aesthetically pleasing, we packed this kitchen with many mechanisms to improve its functionality, An amazing induction cooktop with a built-in downdraft, multi-functional workstation, LED task lighting. The rear wall of the house was bumped out 4 feet to expand the kitchen. New windows bring light in above the countertops, while a large island anchors the space.

Our client has a deep love for all things mid-century modern, so renovating this home was a blast from the past. We focused on deep walnut finishes and shiny brass fixtures and lighting. Our client loved to take risks with all selections, from tile to light fixtures. This risk-taking can clearly be seen in the breath-taking tile on the kitchen backsplash and bold metallic tile floor to ceiling on the fireplace. Adding wallpaper throughout the house brought in yet another element of customization and creativity, making the entire house feel luxe. We even improved functionality in the narrow hallway with sliding doors. --- Project designed by Miami interior designer Margarita Bravo. Situated at the top of the Eugene O'Neill National Historic Park in Danville, this mid-century modern hilltop home had great architectural features, but needed a kitchen update that spoke to the design style of the rest of the house. We would have to say this project was one of our most challenging when it came to blending the mid-century style of the house with a more eclectic and modern look that the clients were drawn to. But who doesn't love a good challenge? We removed the builder-grade cabinetry put in by a previous owner and took down a wall to open up the kitchen to the rest of the great room. The kitchen features a custom designed hood as well as custom cabinetry with an intricate beaded details that sets it apart from all of our other cabinetry designs. The pop of blue paired with the dark walnut creates an eye catching contrast. Ridgecrest also designed and fabricated solid steel wall cabinetry to store countertop appliances and display dishes and glasses. The copper accents on the range and faucets bring the design full circle and finish this gorgeous one-of-a-kind-kitchen off nicely.

This is a great house. Perched high on a private, heavily wooded site, it has a rustic contemporary aesthetic. Vaulted ceilings, sky lights, large windows and natural materials punctuate the main spaces. The existing large format mosaic slate floor grabs your attention upon entering the home extending throughout the foyer, kitchen, and family room. Specific requirements included a larger island with workspace for each of the homeowners featuring a homemade pasta station which requires small appliances on lift-up mechanisms as well as a custom-designed pasta drying rack. Both chefs wanted their own prep sink on the island complete with a garbage “shoot” which we concealed below sliding cutting boards. A second and overwhelming requirement was storage for a large collection of dishes, serving platters, specialty utensils, cooking equipment and such. To meet those needs we took the opportunity to get creative with storage: sliding doors were designed for a coffee station adjacent to the main sink; hid the steam oven, microwave and toaster oven within a stainless steel niche hidden behind pantry doors; added a narrow base cabinet adjacent to the range for their large spice collection; concealed a small broom closet behind the refrigerator; and filled the only available wall with full-height storage complete with a small niche for charging phones and organizing mail. We added 48” high base cabinets behind the main sink to function as a bar/buffet counter as well as overflow for kitchen items. The client’s existing vintage commercial grade Wolf stove and hood commands attention with a tall backdrop of exposed brick from the fireplace in the adjacent living room. We loved the rustic appeal of the brick along with the existing wood beams, and complimented those elements with wired brushed white oak cabinets. The grayish stain ties in the floor color while the slab door style brings a modern element to the space. We lightened the color scheme with a mix of white marble and quartz countertops. The waterfall countertop adjacent to the dining table shows off the amazing veining of the marble while adding contrast to the floor. Special materials are used throughout, featured on the textured leather-wrapped pantry doors, patina zinc bar countertop, and hand-stitched leather cabinet hardware. We took advantage of the tall ceilings by adding two walnut linear pendants over the island that create a sculptural effect and coordinated them with the new dining pendant and three wall sconces on the beam over the main sink.

Light floods this casual yet sophisticated contemporary Hamptons haven, with walls of windows allowing backyard views to dominate. White quartz countertops and pale flooring reflect light, even on overcast days. Bilotta Designer Doranne Phillips Telberg designed the flat panel doors with a horizontal grain pattern that leads the eye around the room, while the soft driftwood-toned finish complements the wooded site. Floating shelves on either side of the hood make everything visible and accessible, and provide a clear sightline to the open plan dining and living areas. The efficient layout positions the main sink in the 10’ waterfall island facing the scenery, opposite the 48” professional range. Two paneled dishwashers make quick work of cleanup. Anchoring the work triangle are integrated fridge and freezer columns, paneled to be indistinguishable from the pantry on the left. A microwave drawer sits adjacent to the refrigeration. A covered deck steps away means you’ll never be stuck indoors when it rains, and the fire pit assures outdoor living in all but the harshest weather. A wet bar with a beverage refrigerator is strategically located next to the sliding glass door, facilitating service. Another convenience is the folding window that opens out to the deck for easy delivery of food and drinks to guests. Built in 1860 we designed this kitchen to have the conveniences of modern life with a sense of having it feel like it could be the original kitchen. White oak with clear coated herringbone oak floor and stained white oak cabinetry deliver the two tone feel.
