Ultramodern German Kitchen in Worthing, West Sussex This German kitchen project in Worthing required extensive structural works to divide two rooms and create an open-plan space. Designer Phil has created an ultramodern handleless kitchen space, complete with high-tech appliances and TV area. The Brief A spacious and vast open-plan kitchen was the end goal of this project, which was not an easy task considering the space was originally two rooms. Advanced structural works were required to support the rest of the property, with flooring, lighting and an exterior bi-fold door also part of the plans. Designer Phil was tasked with envisaging a design which incorporated all this client’s requirements, whilst implementing a homely and modern kitchen theme. Design Elements Before fitting the kitchen, our structural team had to undertake significant works. Following the removal of a dividing wall, four steels had to be fixed in a square formation to support the property, this left a huge space for the kitchen Phil had designed for this client. A homely, yet modern theme was preferred with a combination of Stone Grey and Slate grey matt units opted for. These two finishes are complimented by Havana oak wood accents and the handless design of the kitchen. To meet the client’s requirements, an island, TV area and full-height corner storage feature, in addition to a wall-to-wall run which houses kitchen appliances and storage. Special Inclusions Special inclusions are aplenty in this kitchen. A grid of appliances is comprised of a Neff slide & hide oven, combination oven, warming drawer, coffee centre and Caple wine cabinet. Each provide an array of useful functions for this client, and elsewhere are accompanied by a Neff induction hob, Neff telescopic extractor hood and a Quooker 100°C boiling water tap. Designer Phil has incorporated numerous design features like a glass-ended unit on the island, cookbook storage space, feature shelving in the TV area and a raised natural wood work surface on the island. Our structural team were also tasked with widening an exterior doorway and fitting bi-fold doors which look out to the vibrant garden. Project Highlight The TV area is a lovely highlight of this project. Phil has framed this with additional storage and decorative wood effect shelving. Nearby a full-height radiator and full-height storage provide warmth and even more storage to the kitchen space. The End Result The end result is a space that is unrecognisable and has been completely transformed with the expertise of our fitting team. In addition to the structural works, Karndean flooring, lighting and heating improvements have been made involving almost every facet of our installation team. Level Three: The open-plan Penthouse includes kitchen, dining and living room areas. The fireplace mass was designed to incorporate a flat-screen TV that could be enjoyed from the kitchen and dining areas, without blocking the views to the outside. In this luxurious Serrano home, a mixture of matte glass and glossy laminate cabinetry plays off the industrial metal frames suspended from the dramatically tall ceilings. Custom frameless glass encloses a wine room, complete with flooring made from wine barrels. Continuing the theme, the back kitchen expands the function of the kitchen including a wine station by Dacor. In the powder bathroom, the lipstick red cabinet floats within this rustic Hollywood glam inspired space. Wood floor material was designed to go up the wall for an emphasis on height. The upstairs bar/lounge is the perfect spot to hang out and watch the game. Or take a look out on the Serrano golf course. A custom steel raised bar is finished with Dekton trillium countertops for durability and industrial flair. The same lipstick red from the bathroom is brought into the bar space adding a dynamic spice to the space, and tying the two spaces together.

The large open space continues the themes set out in the Living and Dining areas with a similar palette of darker surfaces and finishes, chosen to create an effect that is highly evocative of past centuries, linking new and old with a poetic approach. The dark grey concrete floor is a paired with traditional but luxurious Tadelakt Moroccan plaster, chose for its uneven and natural texture as well as beautiful earthy hues. The supporting structure is exposed and painted in a deep red hue to suggest the different functional areas and create a unique interior which is then reflected on the exterior of the extension.

Diese wirkliche Traumküche besticht durch ihre einfach gehaltene architektonische Struktur und hochwertige Materialien. Die lavagrauen Mattlackfronten sind komplett grifflos - auf leichtes Antippen der TouchFree-Oberfläche öffnen sich leise die geräumigen Auszüge und werden durch die beleuchteten Zargen regelrecht in Szene gesetzt. Fronten, Rückwände und Regalelemente aus hellem Eiche - Altholz sind willkommene Kontraste und bringen, in Verbindung mit dem individuell gefertigten, massivem Eiche-Tisch, eine moderne Wohnlichkeit. Auf der fast 3 Meter langen Kochinsel mit satinierter Granitarbeitsplatte kann die ambitioniert kochende Familie, dank BORA-Kochfeldabzug auf dem Induktionskochfeld und der Tepanplatte nahezu geruchsfrei arbeiten. Ein individuell geplantes, liebevolles Detail ist der integrierte und von unten beleuchtete Kräutergarten. Die obsidianschwarzen, ebenfalls grifflosen Miele-Einbaugeräte lassen mit Dampfgarer, Backofen, Weinkühler, Vakuumiergerät und Wärmeschublade keine Wünsche offen und da die vielen nützlichen Kleingeräte hinter den, in die Möbelfront einschwenkenden, PocketDoors verschwinden ist stets für die Nötige Aufgeräumtheit und optische Ruhe gesorgt, Besonders gelungen finden wir auch das Beleuchtungskozept, bei dem sowohl der obere Abschluss der raumhohen Möbel, als auch Glasbodenbeleuchtungen, beleuchtete Holzregale und -böden und eben auch der Kräutergarten stimmungsvoll illuminiert werden .Vielen Dank Familie K. für die nette und kreative Zusammenarbeit!

This expansive contemporary penthouse kitchen, with stunning views overlooking White Plains, and the Hudson Valley was designed by Barbara Bell and Bilotta senior designer, Jeff Eakley. The cabinetry is Artcraft in a mix of high-gloss Dannogri laminate, Anthracite high-gloss lacquer, and a custom Gray matte paint. The island, great for entertaining, features a waterfall quartzite countertop with Caesarstone on the perimeter. The backsplash is a metallic glass tile. The Anthracite high gloss lacquer cabinetry hides a paneled 36” Subzero refrigerator and 36” paneled freezer while showcasing a SubZero wine refrigerator and a stainless-steel Bosch wall oven and microwave. A stainless-steel Faber hood sits above a Wolf cooktop. Hidden in the island is an extra Subzero refrigerator drawer for easy to reach drinks. Dishwasher is Miele. A modern kitchen which still feels homely. We chose an inframe kitchen but with a flat door. As it's a bespoke, traditional style of kitchen but the flat door and long bar handles give it a streamlined and contemporary feel.
