This kitchen is a wheelchair accessible kitchen designed by Adam Thomas of Design Matters. With acrylic doors and brushed steel handles for comfortable use. The worktops are height adjustable and have raised edges on all four sides to contain hot spills and reduce the risk of injury. The kitchen is packed with accessible storage such as wall cupboards that descend to worktop height, and this substantial pull-down basket which brings the contents of the cupboard within reach. Clean, contemporary white oak slab cabinets with a white Chroma Crystal White countertop. Cabinets are set off with sleek stainless steel handles. The appliances are also stainless steel. The diswasher is Bosch, the refridgerator is a Kenmore professional built-in, stainless steel. The hood is stainless and glass from Futuro, Venice model. The double oven is stainless steel from LG. The stainless wine cooler is Uline. the stainless steel built-in microwave is form GE. The irridescent glass back splash that sets off the floating bar cabinet and surrounds window is Vihara Irridescent 1 x 4 glass in Puka. Perfect for entertaining. The floors are Italian ceramic planks that look like hardwood in a driftwood color. Simply gorgeous. Lighting is recessed and kept to a minimum to maintain the crisp clean look the client was striving for. Our clients have lived in this 1985 North Dallas home for almost 10 years, and it was time for a change. They had to decide whether to move or give the home an update. They were in a small quiet neighborhood tucked away near the popular suburb of Addison and also near the beautiful Celestial Park. Their backyard was like a hidden paradise, which is hard to find in Dallas, so they decided to update the two primary areas that needed it: the kitchen and the master bathroom. The kitchen had a black and white retro checkerboard tile floor, and the bathroom was very Tuscan. There were no cabinets on the main wall in the kitchen before. They were lacking space and functionality and desperately needed a complete overhaul in their kitchen. There were two entryways leading into the kitchen from the foyer, so one was closed off and the island was eliminated, giving them space for an entire wall of cabinets. The cabinets along this back kitchen wall were finished with a gorgeous River Rock stain. The cabinets on the other side of the kitchen were painted Polar, creating a seamless flow into the living room and creating a one-of-a-kind kitchen! Large 24x36 Elysium Tekali crema polished porcelain tiles created a simple, yet unique kitchen floor. The beautiful Levantina quartzite countertops pulled it all together and everything from the pop-up outlets in the countertops to the roll-up doors on the pantry cabinets, to the pull-out appliance shelves, makes this kitchen super functional and updated!

This kitchen was designed for a multi-generational household with a requirement for it to be accessible for a wheelchair user. Our client wanted to allow her sister full access to the kitchen and to be able to work as independently as possible. With this in mind, we created a dropped worktop section for a wheelchair to roll underneath and a separate sink with the same function. This allows a wheelchair user to work independently with everything within arms reach. We even added a section of lower cabinets that would make it easier for our client to access equipment. Our client wanted to mix metals in this kitchen to add an industrial vibe. Paired with the textured doors and cashmere, the warm tones compliment each other well.

This kitchen reface uses Luxe Textil Plata finish on the perimeter kitchen, oven surrounds, and fridge door panels. The island is a custom built curved piece using Silver Oak veneer.
