This gorgeous European Poggenpohl Kitchen is the culinary center of this new modern home for a young urban family. The homeowners had an extensive list of objectives for their new kitchen. It needed to accommodate formal and non-formal entertaining of guests and family, intentional storage for a variety of items with specific requirements, and use durable and easy to maintain products while achieving a sleek contemporary look that would be a stage and backdrop for their glorious artwork collection. Solution: A large central island acts as a gathering place within the great room space. The tall cabinetry items such as the ovens and refrigeration are grouped on the wall to keep the rest of the kitchen very light and open. Luxury Poggenpohl cabinetry and Caesarstone countertops were selected for their supreme durability and easy maintenance. Warm European oak flooring is contrasted by the gray textured Poggenpohl cabinetry flattered by full width linear Poggenphol hardware. The tall aluminum toe kick on the island is lit from underneath to give it a light and airy luxurious feeling. To further accent the illuminated toe, the surface to the left of the range top is fully suspended 18” above the finished floor. A large amount of steel and engineering work was needed to achieve the floating of the large Poggenpohl cabinet at the end of the peninsula. This 120 year old one room stone cabin features real rock walls and fireplace in a simple rectangle with real handscraped exposed beams. Old concrete floor, from who knows when? The stainless steel kitchen is new, everything is under counter, there are no upper cabinets at all. Antique butcher block sits on stainless steel cabinet, and an old tire chain found on the old farm is the hanger for the cooking utensils. Concrete counters and sink. Copper Door® restaurant located in Bedford, NH, has an amazingly warm feeling of home from the minute you walk in. "A mix of high-end materials were used to build a restaurant that is warm, elegant and inviting, as if you were inside someone's beautiful home," said designer Dana Boucher of Breath of Fresh Art. Rich textures, wood beam ceilings, and a New England stone fireplace greet you upon entering. A mix of three different products were used for the perfect blend of colors and shapes. Boston Blend Ledgestone, Boston Blend Ashlar, and Greenwich Gray Ledgestone create a look that is not too modern and not too rustic. But they didn't stop there. A stone oven in the open-concept kitchen allows the chef to get creative with one-of-a-kind dishes. Mitered corners were used on the 45-degree angles. The same blend of colors and shapes that was used on the fireplace was also used on the stone oven. A partial remodel of a Marin ranch home, this residence was designed to highlight the incredible views outside its walls. The husband, an avid chef, requested the kitchen be a joyful space that supported his love of cooking. High ceilings, an open floor plan, and new hardware create a warm, comfortable atmosphere. With the concept that “less is more,” we focused on the orientation of each room and the introduction of clean-lined furnishings to highlight the view rather than the decor, while statement lighting, pillows, and textures added a punch to each space.

This kitchen is the centerpiece of the house. Isn't it perfect? This is a split level home that was transformed by turning the dining room into this amazing kitchen. These cabinets are a simple shaker door in the lightest shade of grey. These countertops are stunning made of porcelain . Notice the big island for snacking, eating or entertaining. A nice size pantry by the refrigerator to hold all the food products. The hood is definitely eye catching. We are proud of this kitchen that truly transformed the whole house. It's not often that you can take advantage of a lake view out in the suburbs of Chicago. This previously closed off kitchen now features an updated design with a great sightlines of the marvelous backyard landscape. The PB Kitchens Design team eliminated the formal eating area and instead, created an island with four spaces for seating, a second sink, and an abundance of storage. The outdoors is brought in via the large new windows and the earthy grey cabinet colors. Project specs: Cabinets by Signature Custom Cabinetry. The island features a Peruvian walnut island top from Grothouse Lumber. Dark granite countertop on the perimeter cabinetry. Quarter sawn white oak is used on the perimeter and island cabinets.
