Granite matched with American Oak Solid Timber Frames and Condari Seneca cylindrical Rangehoods with Dulux Black Matt in surrounding cabinetry. With Four functional preparation areas. Base cupboards have Aluminium Luxe Finger recess handles whilst overheads were fingerpull overhang to fit the industrial brief and slimline look.

This modern style kitchen design in Grosse Pointe Woods features light wood finished shaker style custom Woodmaster kitchen cabinets. The frameless cabinets have soft closing doors and drawers, with special 48" wall cabinets in the buffet area and 1/8" clear glass in the top part of the door. The cabinetry is accented by Atlas Hardware, Mont Quartz countertop, and Virginia Tile Vallelunga Calacatta porcelain subway tile backsplash with Schluter trim. Task Lighting buffet lighting including undercabinet, above cabinet, and in cabinet lights illuminate the space. GE appliances feature throughout this kitchen remodel including a GE Profile over the range convection microwave oven. The team also refinished hardwood floors to complete the design.

This end of the kitchen was originally walled off into two separate rooms. A smaller room was on the left which was a larder and the right had a small eating area for servants., hence the two different sized windows. I created a large sweeping curved to over a support beam that was structurally required once the walls were removed and then completed the curve with custom designed brackets. The custom built banquette has a leather seat and fabric back. The table I designed and a local worker made it from a felled walnut tree on the property.

We began our design in this OKC kitchen by re-orientating the layout of the kitchen and all work zones. The homeowners wanted a larger island with space to prepare meals while capturing the impressive lake views to the rear of the home. We replaced the closed in Highbar with an open and expansive island showcasing a lowered eating area, perfect for breakfast and entertaining while meals are prepared. Our mitered door custom cabinets are presented with a sophisticated and up and coming color palette for those that are leaning away from basic white cabinets. To bring more warmth into the space, we stained the rift sawn oak in medium brown and finished with a soft glaze. We then contrast this with matte black interiors in the glass cabinets. The matte black is repeated on the venthood which has been accented with high gloss striping. The large pull-outs flanking the fridge provide plenty of storage, while the integrated backsplash shelf provides architectural interest with additional space for bottles and spices near the induction cooktop. The brushed gold hardware provides the perfect jewelry for the kitchen – now warm, inviting, and irresistible!

Unlike full showrooms open to the general public, Main Line Kitchen Design works only by appointment. Appointments can be scheduled days, nights, and weekends either in your home or in our office and selection center. During office appointments we display clients kitchens on a flat screen TV and help them look through 100’s of sample doorstyles, almost a thousand sample finish blocks and sample kitchen cabinets. During home visits we can bring samples, take measurements, and make design changes on laptops showing you what your kitchen can look like in the very room being renovated. This is more convenient for our customers and it eliminates the expense of staffing and maintaining a larger space that is open to walk in traffic. We pass the significant savings on to our customers and so we sell cabinetry for less than other dealers, even home centers like Lowes and The Home Depot. We believe that since a web site like Houzz.com has over half a million kitchen photos, any advantage to going to a full kitchen showroom with full kitchen displays has been lost. Almost no customer today will ever get to see a display kitchen in their door style and finish because there are just too many possibilities. And the design of each kitchen is unique anyway. Our design process allows us to spend more time working on our customer’s designs. This is what we enjoy most about our business and it is what makes the difference between an average and a great kitchen design. The range was relocated off of the island and is now a focal point in the room. The stainless hood vent over the range is both beautiful and functional. A walk-in pantry was removed, and now beautiful built-in cabinets act as the pantry.

This home in the Portland hills was stuck in the 70's with cedar paneling and almond laminate cabinets with oak details. (See Before photos) The space had wonderful potential with a high vaulted ceiling that was covered by a low ceiling in the kitchen and dining room. Walls closed in the kitchen. The remodel began with removal of the ceiling and the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. Hardwood flooring was extended into the kitchen. Shaker cabinets with contemporary hardware, modern pendants and clean-lined backsplash tile make this kitchen fit the transitional style the owners wanted. Now, the light and backdrop of beautiful trees are enjoyed from every room.

Gorgeous entertainers kitchen with modern, flat-panel, walnut, custom cabinets. Full-height granite backsplash accent the cabinets. Open to the dining and living room.

The original doors to the outdoor courtyard were very plain being that it was originally a servants kitchen. You can see out the far right kitchen window the roofline of the conservatory which had a triple set of arched stained glass transom windows. My client wanted a uniformed appearance when viewing the house from the courtyard so we had the new doors designed to match the ones in the conservatory.
