The bulthaup b3 pocket door unit is home to all of the everyday kitchen elements that often clutter a worktop. The interior of the unit is finished in Walnut veneer bringing warm and visual interest to the space. Die Doppelhaushälfte wurde kernsaniert und nach den Wünschen der Kunden offen und zeitlos ausgestattet. Im Erdgeschoss ließen wir dazu die Küchenwände entfernen. Der Eingang ist jetzt mit einer raumhohen Schrankanlage – vom Schreiner auf Maß gefertigt – und einer Mattglas-Schiebetür abgetrennt. Eines der Schrankelemente ist eine offene Garderobe zum Flur, in den anderen Schränken sind Kühlschrank, Backofen und Küchengeräte in Richtung Küche untergebracht. Die Spüle ist unter dem Fenster flächenbündig in die Arbeitsplatte aus cremefarbenem Silestone eingelassen. Die Position wurde dabei so gewählt, dass sich beide Fensterflügel an der Armatur vorbei öffnen lassen. Rechts läuft die Arbeitsplatte in ein offenes Fach für die dort angeschlossenen Küchengeräte hinein. So lassen sich diese für die Benutzung einfach nach vorn ziehen. Werden sie nicht gebraucht, kann das Fach mit einem Rollladen geschlossen werden. Auf der anderen Seite ist das Kochfeld mit integriertem Muldenlüfter untergebracht. Beleuchtet wird die Arbeitsfläche durch eingelassene LED-Leisten in den Oberschränken. Abgetrennt wird die Küche durch ein halbhohes Schrankelement mit einem eingebauten Weinkühlschrank an der Kopfseite. Es dient zugleich als Rückwand für die Eckbank am Essplatz. Seine Deckplatte aus Nussbaum nimmt die Optik des Bodens wieder auf.

The clients requested a kitchen that was simple, flush and had that built-in feel. This kitchen achieves that and so much more with the fabulously multi-tasking island, and the fun red splash back.

This high rise, loft style kitchen incorporates modern design elements using stylish materials and hidden appliances. The horizontal, lift up wall cabinets and floating shelves allows sufficient and functional storage in this minimalist design layout. The soft grey color palette in the cabinetry blends in with the industrial elements of the dwelling structure yet allows the purple accent wall and surrounding art to stand out as focal points in this kitchen. One of the most important requests this client had was that the kitchen needed to take advantage of the dramatic skyline views. The appliances needed to be hidden from view as best possible. A soft, neutral color palette so that she could incorporate her favorite colors, purple and black, in accessories and art. Everything needed a place to be stored so there would be no clutter on the countertops. Due to the structural requirements in the building, a large concrete support column was the biggest design challenge. The location of this column made it difficult to ensure that the client had adequate walkway clearance between the living area and kitchen without sacrificing storage. In the original layout, the shape and location of the island and its attachment to the concrete column blocked the fantastic view of the city skyline. In order to improve this walkway clearance, the island was pushed out further into the kitchen so that it became in-line with the column. A shallow depth, tall cabinet then replaced a standard 24” deep cabinet to widen the walk-space. In conjunction with moving the island, the shape of it was altered so that the cook-top could be relocated to allow the client to cook, congregate and take in the fabulous view of the city. This kitchen remodel features Yorktowne Iconic cabinets with maple wood Roma flat panel door style (Shaker) and White Icing paint finish. This remodel also features a granite countertop with White mist color and a pencil edge. The flooring is a vinyl click lock plant type of flooring by Armstrong in Goncalo color. The kitchen backplash is Crystal shores diamond brick joint with mapei with grout color Iron #107. Other features include Blanco Granite composite farm sink with Cinder color, Moen faucet & soap dispenser with a chrome finish. The hardware is flat black cup pulls for drawers and knobs for all the doors.

This historic home had 24" excavated from the basement in order to lower the whole first floor to fit these kitchen cabinets below the existing street-facing window. New heated concrete floors were poured, and a new floating stair case transformed this 200+ year old home.
