Caring for aging parents is both a joy and a challenge. The clients wanted to create a more aging-in-place friendly basement area for their mother. The existing kitchenette was more of a glorified bar and did not give her the option of cooking independently, and definitely not stylishly. We re-configured the area so it was all open, with full kitchen capabilities. All appliances were selected to cater to the mother's limited reach, so all functional storage and product usage can be done without raising arms excessively. Special storage solutions include a peg-system for a dish drawer, tiered silverware trays, a slide-up appliance garage, and pivoting pantry storage. The cabinets also give ample display space for her collection of antique glassware. In lieu of an island, we created a solid-surface top for a standard table so food can be prepped while sitting and without damaging the table top. All items reflect the mother's tastes and existing furniture so she can truly feel like this basement is her space, while still being close to her son and daughter-in-law.

Medallion Platinum inset Bayside non-beaded face frame cabinets in the Magnolia Classic paint finish accented with Riverside Knobs and pulls in Honey Bronze finish. The countertop is 3cm Quartzite Taj Mahal with pencil round edge profile with a 2cm Temple White quartz window sill. The backsplash is WOW crafted handmade gloss white subway tile with accent tile behind the cooktop/hood with Calacatta polished pencil edge. Paylor Armed sconces in Brushed Brass with a Monroe two light Antique Brass chandelier with a hand crafted hardback shade over the island. A Bocchi Contempo Apron Front Sink in white with Brizo Tulham single handle pull down faucet and hot water faucet in luxe gold/polished gold finish. On the floor is Congoleum Triversa Prime Oak Grove vinyl plank flooring in Warm Grey color. Andersen Casement Combo 200 Series Patio Doors with white exterior and interior were installed.

This dated kitchen was ready to be transformed by our magic wand! The wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed to create one larger room with an island and space for a dining table. Our team of carpenters installed all new custom crafted cherry cabinets with Hanstone Serenity quartz countertops. Natural stone tile was installed for the backsplash and luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout the room. All new Frigidaire Professional appliances in stainless were installed, including french door refrigerator, electric cooktop and range hood, a built-in wall oven, convection microwave oven and dishwasher.

Full condo renovation: replaced carpet and laminate flooring with continuous LVP throughout; painted kitchen cabinets; added tile backsplash in kitchen; replaced appliances, sink, and faucet; replaced light fixtures and repositioned/added lights; selected all new furnishings- some brand new, some salvaged from second-hand sellers. Goal of this project was to stretch the dollars, so we worked hard to put money into the areas with highest return and get creative where possible. Phase 2 will be to update additional light fixtures and repaint more areas.

Home remodel with large island contains an under counter refrigerator and ample storage. Hickory Hood and Island in Dura Supreme Cabinets. Door style on Hickory is Lancaster door style in Hickory stain finish Caraway, low gloss finish. Perimeter cabinets in Linen White finish on the Carson door style. Quartz by Corian is Coarse Pepper on the perimeter with island in quarts Vicostone Diamante. Lovely tile found at local tile store pulls the look together with the L.V. plank floors through the first floor for a full updated look.

This kitchen remodel in Lakewood has undergone such an amazing transformation from a dark, dated space to bright and functional! We experienced many obstacles in this tight space but was able to design around the challenges to create a beautiful and functional space. The original design intent was to bring the cabinets all the way to the ceiling but found out this wasn’t an option as all the soffits had interior mechanical systems and couldn’t be reconfigured. One solution was to raise the soffits on the range and sink walls to gain an extra 6” of cabinet space and build out the soffit above the refrigerator to create a custom built-in look. This extension of the soffit created the perfect opportunity for a narrow pantry cabinet facing the dining room which adds much needed storage space. By painting the soffits the same color as the cabinets, we were able to install the crown trim on top of the soffit in lieu of the cabinets to create the illusion of taller cabinets and lengthening the ceiling height. We omitted the wall cabinet to the left of the range to create a more open space both visibly and functionally. This provided the opportunity to install an accent pendant over the open counter which has been lowered to maintain one counter height throughout for a seamless look. Decorative door panels give the perfect finishing touches on the cabinetry and truly convey a custom look. The cabinets were finished in Waypoint’s Shaker style in Linen color and were paired with Amrock’s stunning gunmetal finish hardware. The existing floor tile was replaced with Daltile’s Forest Park Maple wood-look plank which now extends into the dining room creating a natural separation of kitchen/dining space to the adjacent Family room. The warmth of the floor tile compliments the Linen cabinetry color and Gunmetal finishes throughout. This beautiful kitchen offers a beautiful and functional design solution and we are thrilled our client can love their personalized kitchen for many years to come!

I always love when a client says “do what you think”. I had the best time designing this beach house for another adorable family. When I learned the homes history and the families Greek heritage, my brain entered Mykonos mode. They agreed and let me run with it. Both floors of the home went thru some major overhaul (pictures to come). Luckily I had a dream of a contractor and some magical tradespeople to work with. We designed this kitchen to meet the needs of the clients family, their love for the kids, their love of cooking and entertaining friends and family. We created a not only functional space but one that allows everyone an opportunity to be part of the magic that happens in the kitchen. Die Doppelhaushälfte wurde kernsaniert und nach den Wünschen der Kunden offen und zeitlos ausgestattet. Im Erdgeschoss ließen wir dazu die Küchenwände entfernen. Der Eingang ist jetzt mit einer raumhohen Schrankanlage – vom Schreiner auf Maß gefertigt – und einer Mattglas-Schiebetür abgetrennt. Eines der Schrankelemente ist eine offene Garderobe zum Flur, in den anderen Schränken sind Kühlschrank, Backofen und Küchengeräte in Richtung Küche untergebracht. Die Spüle ist unter dem Fenster flächenbündig in die Arbeitsplatte aus cremefarbenem Silestone eingelassen. Die Position wurde dabei so gewählt, dass sich beide Fensterflügel an der Armatur vorbei öffnen lassen. Rechts läuft die Arbeitsplatte in ein offenes Fach für die dort angeschlossenen Küchengeräte hinein. So lassen sich diese für die Benutzung einfach nach vorn ziehen. Werden sie nicht gebraucht, kann das Fach mit einem Rollladen geschlossen werden. Auf der anderen Seite ist das Kochfeld mit integriertem Muldenlüfter untergebracht. Beleuchtet wird die Arbeitsfläche durch eingelassene LED-Leisten in den Oberschränken. Abgetrennt wird die Küche durch ein halbhohes Schrankelement mit einem eingebauten Weinkühlschrank an der Kopfseite. Es dient zugleich als Rückwand für die Eckbank am Essplatz. Seine Deckplatte aus Nussbaum nimmt die Optik des Bodens wieder auf.
