Pendant overhang lighting gracefully suspends above the island, adding a warm and inviting ambiance. Moroccan Charm Custom white kitchen cabinets with bronze handles offer ample storage while adding a touch of classic charm. A farmhouse-style kitchen sink with an apron brings rustic elegance to the space, complemented by a bronze sink faucet. The custom white cabinets continue with a quartz counter, providing a durable and beautiful surface for food preparation and display. A new stove and kitchen hood elevate the functionality of the kitchen, combining modern convenience with a tasteful design. Hardwood flooring adds warm tones to an otherwise cool color scheme. The rustic look of this floor is reminiscent of ocean driftwood. We partnered with Jennifer Allison Design on this project. In order to showcase the tile backsplash, the clients elected to forgo upper cabinets and instead utilize open shelving. These two pullouts, designed to hold spices and oils, are conveniently located adjacent to the six-burner gas range.

This generous kitchen was built for entertaining! As this ADU functions more like a pool house than a residence (and storage requirements are less important), the clients opted for open shelving and lots of windows in place of upper cabinetry. Stucco, wood and metal elements are features in Santa Barbara and Mediterranean styles.

In the formal dining room the existing chandelier was replaced with a very large oval black and gold contemporary chandelier to tie into the fixture at the eat-in area. The Eternal Statuario quartz countertop was made to have an eased edge profile and a radiused overhang at the peninsula so barstools could be placed across from the sink for guests or additional seating when eating. The underside of the countertops were trimmed with the same wood trim as the baseboards for continuity.
