Designing a completely round home is challenging! Add to that, the two tubes are merely 8' wide. This requires EVERY piece of furniture to be custom built to fit the continuous rounding walls, floors and ceiling. We used every possible inch to provide storage for our clients personal belongings and household needs... sustainable for 3 years! Solid walnut wood paneling and custom built shelving was used throughout as well as tons of hidden storage... in, under and atop every possible inch of this project was locate and utilized! Backsplash above the Kitchen sink is super thinly cut mosaic tile made out of MIRROR! It's reflective, creates an illusion of space and light, It sparkles and looks AMAZING! MMM Photography

True European-style frameless, flat-fronted cabinets are a highlight of this modern kitchen design. Caesarstone quartz countertops and stainless steel cabinet pulls complete the contemporary look, as does the island, which features a “waterfall” Caesarstone countertop: the draping allows for additional legroom for comfortable in-kitchen dining. Kitchen, Corralitos Villa Louie Leu Architect, Inc. collaborated in the role of Executive Architect on a custom home in Corralitas, CA, designed by Italian Architect, Aldo Andreoli. Located just south of Santa Cruz, California, the site offers a great view of the Monterey Bay. Inspired by the traditional 'Casali' of Tuscany, the house is designed to incorporate separate elements connected to each other, in order to create the feeling of a village. The house incorporates sustainable and energy efficient criteria, such as 'passive-solar' orientation and high thermal and acoustic insulation. The interior will include natural finishes like clay plaster, natural stone and organic paint. The design includes solar panels, radiant heating and an overall healthy green approach. Mosaic Jewel-Tone backsplash combines bands of fused glass with Strata Subway tile in silver tones. Tiles are made in Santa Cruz, Ca from an in-house formula for eco-friendly concrete. Awarded the Best New Product of 2008 by California Home & Design Magazine, the tiles have the look and feel of burnished metal.

The key design goal of the homeowners was to install “an extremely well-made kitchen with quality appliances that would stand the test of time”. The kitchen design had to be timeless with all aspects using the best quality materials and appliances. The new kitchen is an extension to the farmhouse and the dining area is set in a beautiful timber-framed orangery by Westbury Garden Rooms, featuring a bespoke refectory table that we constructed on site due to its size. The project involved a major extension and remodelling project that resulted in a very large space that the homeowners were keen to utilise and include amongst other things, a walk in larder, a scullery, and a large island unit to act as the hub of the kitchen. The design of the orangery allows light to flood in along one length of the kitchen so we wanted to ensure that light source was utilised to maximum effect. Installing the distressed mirror splashback situated behind the range cooker allows the light to reflect back over the island unit, as do the hammered nickel pendant lamps. The sheer scale of this project, together with the exceptionally high specification of the design make this kitchen genuinely thrilling. Every element, from the polished nickel handles, to the integration of the Wolf steamer cooktop, has been precisely considered. This meticulous attention to detail ensured the kitchen design is absolutely true to the homeowners’ original design brief and utilises all the innovative expertise our years of experience have provided.
