The large great room of this updated 1940's Custom Cape Ranch features a U-shaped kitchen with a large center island and white marble-patterned backsplash and countertops, a dining area, and a small living area. A large skylight above the island and large French windows bring plenty of light into the space, brightening the white recessed panel cabinets. The living/dining area of the great room features an original red brick fireplace with the original wainscot paneling that, along with other Traditional features were kept to balance the contemporary renovations resulting in a Transitional style throughout the home. Finally, there is a butlers pantry / serving area with built-in wine storage and cabinets to match the kitchen. Architect: T.J. This dining space from a 1940's era home was updated to new milinneum standards for a client who enjoys entertaining. Ceiling beams were removed and updated lighting, including a unique chandalier and contemporary low-profile ceiling fan, was added. Original hardwood floors were patched and refinished. A solid door going to the back patio was replaced with a french door giving it continuity with surrounding large mirrors and adding to the open feeling. For this 1961 Mid-Century home we did a complete remodel while maintaining many existing features and our client’s bold furniture. We took our cues for style from our stylish clients; incorporating unique touches to create a home that feels very them. The result is a space that feels casual and modern but with wonderful character and texture as a backdrop. The restrained yet bold color palette consists of dark neutrals, jewel tones, woven textures, handmade tiles, and antique rugs.

The Meryton Table is inspired by French country kitchens of the past. The table features a sturdy planked top and turned legs. Tabletop is available in our classic Espresso or Distressed White finish. Optional hammered steel corner brackets in Black or Copper can be added. Light assembly required (comes assembled for local pickup). All of our tables are handcrafted from solid wood in our woodworking shop in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Our furniture is finished with a multi-step process of distressing and hand-applying varnish to give each piece the look of a cherished antique. Each of our works showcase the natural characteristics of wood, including variations in color, mineral streaks, knots and burls. In addition, our finishing process highlights the organic texture of wood with its pores, ridges, slits and grooves; each piece is a tactile work of art that is truly meant to be appreciated by touch. Every decorative bracket is made from steel, hand-cut and meticulously hammered to create a one-of-a-kind rustic accent for our wood furniture. Available for local pickup or shipment within 5-7 business days.
