An European styled inspired open kitchen and dining room with high ceilings and a sleek modern aesthetic. Suspended over the island is a semi-custom multi-port fixture. Cabinets are all flat paneled in a dark walnut with a light walnut accent to frame out the cabinets in a more visually interesting way. The perimeter countertops are in an engineered quartz and the island and dry bar are covered in a stunning granite that waterfalls to the floor. High end appliances and a large single basin sink create a gourmet cook's dream kitchen. Off of the kitchen is a large walk-in pantry with roll-out storage drawers and lots of counter space.

Now that is spacious!! The difference in cost between this full access corner and a blind corner is around 300.00. Considering the cost of a complete kitchen, why would anyone waste this valuable space?? In the old days, these two doors would have been connected with an ugly piano hinge that rusted and had short screws that would fall out and there was no adjustment for walls that were not plumb and level. Our clients came to us wanting to update and open up their kitchen, breakfast nook, wet bar, and den. They wanted a cleaner look without clutter but didn’t want to go with an all-white kitchen, fearing it’s too trendy. Their kitchen was not utilized well and was not aesthetically appealing; it was very ornate and dark. The cooktop was too far back in the kitchen towards the butler’s pantry, making it awkward when cooking, so they knew they wanted that moved. The rest was left up to our designer to overcome these obstacles and give them their dream kitchen. We gutted the kitchen cabinets, including the built-in china cabinet and all finishes. The pony wall that once separated the kitchen from the den (and also housed the sink, dishwasher, and ice maker) was removed, and those appliances were relocated to the new large island, which had a ton of storage and a 15” overhang for bar seating. Beautiful aged brass Quebec 6-light pendants were hung above the island. All cabinets were replaced and drawers were designed to maximize storage. The Eclipse “Greensboro” cabinetry was painted gray with satin brass Emtek Mod Hex “Urban Modern” pulls. A large banquet seating area was added where the stand-alone kitchen table once sat. The main wall was covered with 20x20 white Golwoo tile. The backsplash in the kitchen and the banquette accent tile was a contemporary coordinating Tempesta Neve polished Wheaton mosaic marble. In the wet bar, they wanted to completely gut and replace everything! The overhang was useless and it was closed off with a large bar that they wanted to be opened up, so we leveled out the ceilings and filled in the original doorway into the bar in order for the flow into the kitchen and living room more natural. We gutted all cabinets, plumbing, appliances, light fixtures, and the pass-through pony wall. A beautiful backsplash was installed using Nova Hex Graphite ceramic mosaic 5x5 tile. A 15” overhang was added at the counter for bar seating. In the den, they hated the brick fireplace and wanted a less rustic look. The original mantel was very bulky and dark, whereas they preferred a more rectangular firebox opening, if possible. We removed the fireplace and surrounding hearth, brick, and trim, as well as the built-in cabinets. The new fireplace was flush with the wall and surrounded with Tempesta Neve Polished Marble 8x20 installed in a Herringbone pattern. The TV was hung above the fireplace and floating shelves were added to the surrounding walls for photographs and artwork. They wanted to completely gut and replace everything in the powder bath, so we started by adding blocking in the wall for the new floating cabinet and a white vessel sink. Black Boardwalk Charcoal Hex Porcelain mosaic 2x2 tile was used on the bathroom floor; coordinating with a contemporary “Cleopatra Silver Amalfi” black glass 2x4 mosaic wall tile. Two Schoolhouse Electric “Isaac” short arm brass sconces were added above the aged brass metal framed hexagon mirror. The countertops used in here, as well as the kitchen and bar, were Elements quartz “White Lightning.” We refinished all existing wood floors downstairs with hand scraped with the grain. Our clients absolutely love their new space with its ease of organization and functionality.

Our client called us in for a kitchen refresh - nothing major. The plan was to paint the existing cabinetry and change countertops and backsplash. We started renovations only to discover toxic mold which had to be immediately remediated. We took the opportunity to completely redo the kitchen. We replaced all the cabinets and upgrade their layout - deleting awkwardly placed cabinets for shelves and adding to the upper cabinets. New quartzite countertop, new wood flooring, new hood, tuxedo style paint color, new butcher block island, new butler's pantry, new lighting. The only thing we kept from the old kitchen are a few of the appliances. We upgraded the previous cooktop to a 48" Viking range.

This amazing kitchen was a total transformation from the original. Windows were removed and added, walls moved back and a total remodel. The original plain ceiling was changed to a coffered ceiling, the lighting all totally re-arranged, new floors, trim work as well as the new layout. I designed the kitchen with a horizontal wood grain using a custom door panel design, this is used also in the detailing of the front apron of the soapstone sink. The profile is also picked up on the profile edge of the marble island. The floor is a combination of a high shine/flat porcelain. The high shine is run around the perimeter and around the island. The Boos chopping board at the working end of the island is set into the marble, sitting on top of a bowed base cabinet. At the other end of the island i pulled in the curve to allow for the glass table to sit over it, the grain on the island follows the flat panel doors. All the upper doors have Blum Aventos lift systems and the chefs pantry has ample storage. Also for storage i used 2 aluminium appliance garages. The glass tile backsplash is a combination of a pencil used vertical and square tiles. Over in the breakfast area we chose a concrete top table with supports that mirror the custom designed open bookcase. The project is spectacular and the clients are very happy with the end results.

This kitchen support area is hidden by a door flush with the cabinetry, which opens to reveal grey recessed panel cabinets with nickel hardware and white quartz countertops. A modern textural tile creates a unique backsplash pattern.

This is a corner cabinet in a small shaker kitchen. The room is 9x9. The space is a kosher kitchen in a condo in a building in Miami beach that was once a hotel. Here is how we maximized upper cabinet corner. Many cabinet shops make a blind corner to save money, but there is a lot of wasted space. Or, they make a 45degree cabinet which sticks out very far, covers valuable counter real estate and It's difficult to keep uncluttered.
