Lee & James wanted to update to their primary bathroom and ensuite closet. It was a small space that had a few pain points. The closet footprint was minimal and didn’t allow for sufficient organization of their wardrobe, a daily struggle for the couple. In addition, their ensuite bathroom had a shower that was petite, and the door from the bedroom was glass paned so it didn’t provide privacy. Also, the room had no bathtub – something they had desired for the ten years they’d lived in the home. The bedroom had an indent that took up much of one wall with a large wardrobe inside. Nice, but it didn’t take the place of a robust closet. The McAdams team helped the clients create a design that extended the already cantilevered area where the primary bathroom sat to give the room a little more square footage, which allowed us to include all the items the couple desired. The indent and wardrobe in the primary bedroom wall were removed so that the interior of the wall could be incorporated as additional closet space. New sconces were placed on either side of the bed, and a ceiling fan was added overhead for ultimate comfort on warm summer evenings. The former closet area was repurposed to create the couple’s new and improved (and now much larger) shower. Beautiful Bianco St. Croix tile was installed on the walls and floor of the shower and a frameless glass door highlighting the fabulous Brizo rainshower head and Delta adjustable handheld showerhead all combine to provide the ultimate showering experience. A gorgeous walnut vanity with a Calacutta Gold Honed Marble slab top (that coordinates with the kitchen) replaced the old cabinet. A matte black Pottery Barn Vintage Pill Shaped Mirror was placed above the undermount sink, while a striking LED pendant serves as the main light source. The newly added square footage allows for a Victoria and Albert stand-alone soaking tub with an adjacent towel warmer, all of which almost makes you forget you’re in a home and not a high-end spa. Finally, just past the new Toto toilet with bidet, the couple got their new, large walk-in closet with customized storage solutions for their individual needs. The transformation absolutely helped Lee and James love their home again!

The picture our clients had in mind was a boutique hotel lobby with a modern feel and their favorite art on the walls. We designed a space perfect for adult and tween use, like entertaining and playing billiards with friends. We used alder wood panels with nickel reveals to unify the visual palette of the basement and rooms on the upper floors. Beautiful linoleum flooring in black and white adds a hint of drama. Glossy, white acrylic panels behind the walkup bar bring energy and excitement to the space. We also remodeled their Jack-and-Jill bathroom into two separate rooms – a luxury powder room and a more casual bathroom, to accommodate their evolving family needs. --- Project designed by Minneapolis interior design studio LiLu Interiors. The master bathroom was outdated with colors that were no longer in style, an old bathtub that was rarely used, and a vanity that seemed more appropriate for a museum than a contemporary bathroom. A half wall was built next to the toilet at the end of the vanity, and a custom shower with a wall that combined Country White tile and Charme Evo Calacatta Black tile with Tech Penny White Matte Mosaic on the shower floor. New Sollid Designer series cabinets were installed in the Napa Driftwood finish with Viatera Forte Quartz countertops, and significantly add storage and a modern and stylish look. The addition of two matte black wall mirrors and Quoizel Emerson vanity lights has brought a bright and refreshed ambiance to the space.

We were engaged to modernise our client's home including bathroom, new flooring and kitchen refresh . He wanted a contemporary, minimalistic design. This was achieved by using stunning stone look large format tiles with concave finger tile feature walls, custom timber to add warmth in the bathroom. The walls were painted in Dulux Dieskau to add a new vibrance which complemented the new floors and carpet. continuity was kept within the home by also featuring the concave finger tile in the kitchen.

Well, it's finally completed and the final photo shoot is done. ⠀ It's such an amazing feeling when our clients are ecstatic with the final outcome. What started out as an unfinished, rough-in only room has turned into an amazing "spa-throom" and boutique hotel ensuite bathroom.⠀ *⠀ We are over-the-moon proud to be able to give our clients a new space, for many generations to come. ⠀ *PS, the entire family will be at home for the weekend to enjoy it too...⠀

Full refurbishment of the master bedroom and bath resulted in a luxurious, hotel-like bathroom with several bespoke pieces. To make the shower feel far more spacious than the area it occupies, it was placed in the middle of the room so it's only constrained by two walls and a glass screen, being fully open towards the bath.

The master suite was opened up by removing walls. A large walnut vanity is dramatic against the light gray tile and walls.
