Homeowner Challenge: The homeowners disliked their kitchen, because it was dark, access was awkward, and it didn’t suit their love of cooking or the cooking classes she conducts.
Solution: The design build team reworked the existing awkward entry hallway, opening up a graceful archway which improved the lines of sight from the front to the rear of the home. The breakfast room was better incorporated into the kitchen by replacing the window and running cabinetry and countertops the length of the wall providing abundant storage and work space.

Project Highlights:
• Dual island design features contrasting cabinet finishes, second tier on one island and rounded dining area on the other
• Matching granite countertops provide continuity across the various work areas and complement the cabinetry and custom tile backsplash
• Top-tier appliance package features Wolf range, ovens and under-counter microwave as well as Sub-Zero refrigerator, freezer and wine cooler
• While also being conducive to cooking lessons, the new kitchen space is practical and beautiful enough for the homeowners’ every day enjoyment.
