内と外を繋げる庭空間 / A garden space that connects the inside and outside
空を仰ぎ、季節を呼吸する。
室内と外を緩やかに繋ぎ、暮らしの領域を広げるための空間。ウエスタンレッドシダーを用いたナチュラルかつ品格のあるデッキに、枕木を組み合わせたガーデニングスペースを隣接させ、その間には腰を下ろして寛げる重厚なベンチを配置した。この「第二のリビング」を静かに見守る植栽には、季節を告げるモミジを主木に据え、周囲にはホウライチクを。竹林がもたらす柔らかな目隠しと、風に揺れる葉音の癒しを同時に享受できる設計とした。機能的な設えと植物の生命力が溶け合うこの場所は、日常の中に、空を仰ぎ季節を呼吸する贅沢な時間をもたらしている。
Looking up at the Sky, Breathing in the Seasons
Designed to gently connect indoors and outdoors, this space extends the realm of daily life.
A natural yet refined deck of Western Red Cedar is paired with a garden area formed from railway sleepers, with a solid bench in between for rest and quiet moments.
Overlooking this “second living room,” a seasonal maple stands at the center, embraced by Hedge Bamboo (Houraichiku). Together they provide soft privacy and the calming sound of leaves moving in the wind.
Blending function with the vitality of plants, the space brings into everyday life the quiet luxury of looking up at the sky and breathing with the seasons.
