45年間北区東十条で営業してきた老舗天ぷら「あら川」が、赤羽に移転して新規オープン。
いつも茶室を造っている職人がそれぞれに匠の技を発揮してできあがった店舗です。
材料は無垢にこだわり、杉丸柱やナラ無垢カウンターはじめ、塗り壁には伝統的な紅葉壁にも挑戦。天井には楕円上げ天井に金貼り江戸からかみ、カウンターから和室までは格子垂木を通して軒天屋根をイメージしております。エントランスには格子戸と蹲いを配置して店内へのいざない、テーブル席は移動建具で客数によって仕切りを分けられ、店内奥には落ち着いた掘りごたつ風の個室を設けております。

店舗ゆえ多くの方の出入りがあることを考慮して、粋で使い勝手が良く耐久性のある納まりとしてます。以前の店舗の材用（床柱・庭石・看板）の一部も再利用して創業から45年の歴史を引き継ぎ、新たな老舗店舗天ぷら「あら川」が完成しました。

Arakawa, a long-established tempura restaurant in Higashijujo, Kita Ward, has relocated to Akabane and reopened.

This restaurant was created by artisans who regularly build teahouses, each displaying their masterful skills.

The restaurant is made up of solid wood materials, including round cedar pillars and a solid oak counter, as well as traditional maple leaf plasterwork. The ceiling is an oval vaulted ceiling with gold-plated Edo karakami plasterwork, and lattice rafters from the counter to the Japanese-style room evoke the image of a eaves roof. A lattice door and a stone basin at the entrance invite customers inside, while movable partitions separate the tables based on the number of customers. A private room with a sunken kotatsu table is located at the back of the restaurant.

Considering the high traffic volume of customers, the restaurant's interior is stylish, user-friendly, and durable. Some of the materials from the previous restaurant (alcove pillars, garden stones, and signboard) have been reused, and the new Arakawa, a long-established tempura restaurant, has been completed, carrying on the restaurant's 45-year history.
