マンションは天井が低いので梁型をいかに隠してデザインに取り入れるかがマンションでの茶室の工夫が問われます。

美術品や茶道具も多いので、収納をできるだけ取れるようにしてあります。

屋上庭園は荷重が問題ですので、土はできるだけ少なくするために下地に発砲スチロールを使っております。

On the rooftop penthouse floor of an apartment building, this tea room salon features an 8-tatami Kyoto-style tea room, a standing altar, a bar counter, and a rooftop garden.

Since apartments have low ceilings, the challenge for tea rooms in apartments is to find ways to hide the beams and incorporate them into the design.

Since the building contains many artworks and tea utensils, we ensured that there was as much storage space as possible.

Since load-bearing is an issue with rooftop gardens, we used styrofoam as the base to minimize the amount of soil required.
