In the heart of a historic drought, JGS designed an outdoor retreat that responds directly to the surrounding hillside vineyards. The low water, native plant palette paired with modern hardscape features creates a striking balance between the built and natural environments. The large drifts of drought tolerant grasses allow for sweeping views to continue past the property line, to the client's vineyards and the Paso Robles hills beyond.
