I vote for the darker green. That color seems to have a history with home libraries (rather than rooms with books), and it look fantastic, providing a very British Library feeling.

I admit it is a color, almost the same shade as I used in my bedroom. The celing and all the walls and doorways and trim and baseboards are done in it and, in my opinion, it is perfect! I love the dark sensuality of it, the relaxing vibe, the way it draws me in to sleep.

I also enhance it with 40-watt incandescent bulbs in the table lamps so there is never a clash with bright light and dark surroundings. But that wouldn't work for a library where you plan to read unless you use very low wattage bulbs in any lamps besides the one you have next to your favorite reading spot.

I would look for a fabric that has just a touch of green in the pattern/colorway, to tie it into whatever green you choose for the walls.

Well IMO my art is chosen becuase I love it and if others do not like it that is not my concern . I would do alrge one and I think gallery walls are an insult to individual art and BTW galleries do not hang art in that style unlessall from one artist so a true misnomer in most cases. I think art in your home is where you true personality comes home and it is for your enjoyment .I find nothing disturbing about that piece and love the colors . There are so many Gatsby covers that would be awesome as a collection but not in "gallery" wall type display.
