This home in Toronto’s West End came with a tall order for a very small space. The clients are avid collectors, with wide-ranging tastes that include everything from taxidermy to vintage dishware and antique cameras. As a city planner and tattoo artist, they bring diverse interests together, and share a passion for colourful Mid-Century design and eclectic spaces. However, their existing home felt dark, cramped and lacked proper display space and storage. The clients wanted to maximize the space they had, create a way to showcase their collections, and inject the space with jolts of colour and a sense of play. At only 11 feet wide at the largest point on the interior, every inch of space was utilized to bring this vision to life.
