OMG! In my opinion, that's ghastly!

The console table would be better served with a table top light instead.

You can place the tall lights elsewhere such as a corner placement or against a wall to prevent a tripping hazard.

I think the thicker frame is going to be too heavy on these pieces and it could look a little bit like a show room with exactly the same frame around the walls. Maybe a thinner gold or a darker frame with an inner gold edge to tie the gold theme if you want to do that. Frames should really be picked to enhance the art itself however…versus matching the rest of the room.

I have the same basic pillows in my LR and FR with different accent pillows in each.

I think the new art looks good! Is it the same artist as over your white sofa? You do have what appears to be the same look and layout in both rooms. Just an observation, no judgement. But maybe try something different in one of them.

I'd leave the brick unpainted for now. It is the only warm, textured surface that connects the dark cherry cabinets to the brown and gray movement in the counters and floor. Painting the walls, cabinets and brick all Neutral Ground could flatten the whole wall and make the stone counters look busier by comparison.

Paint the walls and cabinets first, then live with them for a week before deciding. Once the dark wood is gone, the brick may feel like the warm part the room needs. If it still looks too red, I'd try a light limewash or mortar wash before opaque paint, so some variation remains.

Why didn't they lend you the grouted sample board to take home?

Glass tiles tend to change color once on the wall and grouted, so you need to bring that sample board home ... BUT I would not make a final decision until the rest of the kitchen is done, including lighting. Only then bring in grouted sample boards of tiles you like.

It took me 5 months after we moved into our new build to find the right backsplash tile. My builder then sent the tile guy back to finish up the kitchen.

From the photos you show, my first reaction is that this tile is not quite right with the other elements in the kitchen.
