Re: seating... SO many chairs, including famous ones such as Adirondack chairs & many Mid-C chairs (think Barcelona chairs & Eames moulded plywood chairs) are absolute HELL on the body ergonomically. In order for function to be on equal footing with form, a chair must allow one's knees to be even with or lower than one's hips -- never the other way around. My husband has had back issues since his teens, & we can SO relate to the previous post wherein the writer said she must either sit in a dining chair, stand or go to bed (!) These are hardly humane or satisfactory options. Unfortunately, most living room, lounge, & outdoor couches & chairs are mere torture devices in disguise.
