Beautiful! I don’t even know where to begin, it’s almost overwhelming to take it all in. (Btw- we’ve had major basement waterproofing done the past two days, so I’ve been a bit distracted, hence my delay in responding.) I love the green and white tiles in Bonnie’s bathroom, so fresh and youthful. And that Moonshine, always the chameleon color. It looks great in the den. The shelving flanking the fireplace is lovely, and Liz did an amazing job curating them. There are so many details I see that I would never ever have thought to do or put together, but somehow it all works! I’ll look forward to the pics with your own furnishings in place. While the staging is lovely, there are some items that I know you would be unlikely to choose yourself. And like you, I prefer fewer things in a space these days. Too much maintenance at this age-lol! Have a wonderful open house tomorrow. Each event is one step closer to being back in your own space. Hang in there! Oh- and what do the kids think of the remodel?
Have you considered moving the tv? A tv in a window is not a good look and obscures the view. You could move it to the large wall opposite the fireplace. Having the recliner with its back to the entry also is not a good look. I would put the sofa in the window and the recliner in the corner. That would really open up your room.
I would put an antiqued mirror there with arched top to repeat your arches. The antiqued finish would keep it calm but still bounce light around. No pedestal no flowers. I noticed you have a cat… I would think long and hard before you go the plant route. Especially if you pay any money for a large one. I just adopted a cat and I’ve had to give away almost all my plants.
