Have a look at katrinas_Instagram on Instagram. Some good inspiration

Just as a note, your fencing and shed are not tin. They are Colorbond which is steel with a zincalume coating and paint layers.

Adnan, referring my comment from yesterday. please note on the plans. The kitchen width of 3100mm includes the WALL WIDTH. So depending on what type of construction method used, the walls could be 200mm thick. This then reduces the kitchen space to 2700mm, less 600-700mm either side for cabinetry, would give you a space between benches of approx 1300mm. !!! You don’t want the kitchen any smaller.

Oklouise, great concept for changes. Just as a note. Master is at the front of property, kitchen at the rear of property.

Thanks, ok Louise! Some really help ideas in there 😁

I like them. I am so bored with all white. Are you going to have viewings as is? Or do the hire furniture staged look?

We are just starting the de cluttering process.. Our intention is to live in it until sold, so we will just be moving some things around and prettying it up. It's amazing how much stuff you accumulate over a 1o year period!

White walls are calming . It gives the ability to add artwork and other items to give your home your personal touch. Interested buyers can visualise their own special things in a room, without worrying about having to get the paint brush out as soon as they move in.

How temporary is the solution?. I would not spend money and effort on planting or stones, if in 6 months time they need pulling up again. I would leave the soil clean and await your new decking or tiling.

Can you put a window behind sink? That would be a high priority for me but I don’t know orientation of house or view but would be good for natural light even if shuttered a little

with small kids and potential for a senior resident my suggestions include a more comfortable sharing family bathroom, kitchen with small pantry or WIL from generous laundry, flexible MPR that can change to suite needs from playroom to full time guest room but we need more information about the site to be more specific about windows and outdoors

Hi Kate, I had the same issue about 12 months ago. My complete idea book was deleted from my account. And about 2 years of my comments on discussions got deleted as well. Very annoying. I contacted Houzz support and they eventually restated my idea books, but the comments never returned.
I did notice that your initial comments on the “Liz Hendo” recent floor plan discussion, have disappeared, but your last comment is still showing.
I would definitely keep contacting Houzz support

My ideabooks are still there but I don't know what is going on with Houzz lately. Not what it used to be and admin seems to be non existant. So much spam and when you flag it, it doesn't get removed.

I just started a new idea book. And found my favourite photo again with angled waterfall for my future kitchen island.

Ha , cee your house sounds very quirky and charming 😁 kids do just adapt to their space don't they?
Good to know your vote is on side of separate tv area! It certainly is nicer in a compact home not to have tv sounds going everywhere. Before we closed off our tv room, you could hear every word of dialogue from all bedrooms. Our kids when small used to dream of gunfights if we watched action movies 😂

On doing some more measurements checking I had to remove the cavity slider to master

Looks great although I would replace bench seats with storage

The open shower is going to be drafty and splashy. But yes you can get VJ products for bathrooms, just not for direct water exposure. There are also products for exterior use that are weather resistant that can be used indoors but not in shower areas.

Thank you for the supportive advice I just have the feeling that it is wrong.. Greatly appreciate the advice not looking forward to pulling it up.
Will get a flooring company in
the trademan that did the floor admitted it was damp when he laid it. He is Not interested in fixing it and took 3 months to come when I first complained.

When drawing up your future second story extension, I would not be putting a “parents retreat” etc, upstairs, if this is going to be your forever home. Add minor bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom, keep master downstairs. Then bed 3 can convert back to a lounge and bed 2 can be a multipurpose space for guests/home office/study. Think about the home in 5 or 10 years time, not today’s requirements. “Future proof the home”
Looking at the current proposed plans,……I would change the set up of the toilet and laundry. With door from hall opening into laundry for easier access for all bedrooms, being it the new plan as shown or future upstairs bedrooms. The toilet will also be private. The toilet on the plans is not in a good spot, taking into account sight lines (from lounge) odours, noise…. There is not a reason to have an exit from the laundry to outside. You hardly have any room along that narrow external walkway for carrying a full washing basket. And the clothesline would probably be at the rear of block anyway.

Definitely something to consider..this option would buy back some kitchen bench space too! We weren’t 100% sold on the laundry being connected to the kitchen so it’s always good to hear a different opinion. Thanks!

Great colours. Yes it does look busy. Remove the plant. Remove the kitchen rules poster. Push the kettle into corner. Anything that is close to cook top will get oil splashes from cooking, so make sure you wipe down appliances regularly.
Agree. Start again. Leave only essential items and put toaster and kettle together. At present it seems to be splitting the view. I’d create the display on right and keep the left functional for air fryer and setting down items for cooking
Benchtop as useable space is prime real estate in a kitchen! A lot of it here is being used as display space.
