Port Credit Bunkie

A series of bunkies were designed as a renovation of an existing structure overlooking Lake Ontario in Port Credit. The original structure, built as a boathouse early in the past century, still held some pragmatic uses; however, unfortunate siting and massing obstructed the lake views that made the property so spectacular. The design attempted to frame views from the bunkie itself while minimizing the impact on the site and view. Services are grouped along one side of the bunkie to maximize the open floor plan. Landscape design has been provided to frame views more cohesively and enhance the client’s experience of the rear yard use.
