“I called Blinds and Designs to come out and provide a bid for shades on a large skylight. We haven't installed them yet because all our bid came back over our budget. Blinds and designs were not the cheapest quote we received, but David, who came out and showed me some options, was very responsive, punctual and communicated well with me via email and phone. I appreciated his professionalism and would consider them again when we get our budget in order.”

“I had Jeff Johnson come to my home to give us an estimate on a closet that I wanted to turn into a pantry/office closet. He was on time for the appointment and was very pleasant and knowledgeable during the consultation. He listened to all of my needs and concerns and had options for me to choose from. He was able to do a 3-D rendering on his laptop so I could tell what the closet would look like. Other companies are still just drawing the design out on a sketch pad. He represented Bay Home and Window very well and I would highly recommend him. I have chosen not to purchase at this time because of some remodeling we are doing, but will definitely call him when we are ready.”

“Jolynn of Drapery Works is fabulous, and I'm so glad that I hired her to make my custom drapes-- she is very responsive in email and phone communications, and listened to my needs and my ideas for the drapes I wanted, and had the perfect fabric suggestions. On top of that, she was able to deliver the custom drapes on-time, even in spite of the holiday season. I have a big glass door in my north-facing bedroom, and after 2 freezing winters, I finally accepted that I needed drapes to insulate my room. My wool flannel tailored-pleat drapes with a color-block panel are not only the perfect colors for my room, but are also functionally excellent -- very thick, insulative black-out drapes. I couldn't be happier!”

I was so impressed with the high level of personal customer service and attention to detail that I hired him again when we bought a new home in Orinda in 2016. He is the epitome of professional and customer-focused. When a cord broke on one of our Oakland blinds about 9 months after installation I called him and he had the whole 7' wide blind replaced within two weeks. And when our blinds arrived much earlier than he quoted for our Orinda home, he came that day to install them himself because his installer was booked and he knew we needed them to help our young children sleep (early bedtimes and long summer days make for a tough time getting babies and toddlers to sleep).
