“WeI had a deck replaced with a larger screened porch. This required removing the old structure and constructing the new with modifications to the house. A fireplace was removed from the living room and replaced with French doors for an eye-catching entry to the new porch. The screen sections are very wide and the new roofline is very high, which gives a dramatic effect and brings the outdoors in. A gas grill and exhaust fan were installed so the porch feels like a complete outdoor living area even in the rain. Deckscapes was outstanding. The sales and design process was superior to every other company we interviewed. The on-site contractor was personable, attentive and responsive to our requests. The crew was skilled and respectful of our home. To top it off, we have never met a contractor who cleaned up so thoroughly each and every night.!”

“We have used M&C Landscaping for replacing front steps as well as entire large driveway in Cornelius. After getting 4 estimates, I contacted a neighbor to asked who did his driveway which was M&C. The estimates varied by more than $6000 dollars. The Owner, Maynor, said initially that he wouldn't be the highest priced contractor nor the lowest. As it turned out, he was the second lowest and more than that, his process for replacing the driveway exceeded all the other quotes which meant his base for the driveway was deeper after removing the existing concrete and the layers of materials used exceeded all others quotes. Pedro, his lead contractor, set the pitch for drainage and laid EVERY paver with the help of 4 others, The crew was polite, friendly, and cleaned up perfectly each day. The processor 5 days. I provided drinks and donuts as they worked in the heat of the summer last year. Maynor provided a huge list of references and we were able to see his workmanship prior to signing on. This month he put in water drainage systems to stop the shoreline erosion which was occurring above my lakefront walkway. He also replaced my pine needles with rich brown mulch and he and his company highly recommended.”

“I received 3 bids for my new cedar shutters and railing on my home. Rob from Good Cedar Charlotte stood out from the other two. He was very professional, not salesy, but service focused. I was still working on my vision for the transparent shutters and railing, and he offered to bring some samples over so I could work on my very particular look I was going for. It was clear to me which company was going to deliver the best product. “Exceeded expectations! In most cases after hiring a professional I've been left feeling I could have done a better job on my own. Thankfully that wasn't the case with Hillcrest. I decided to contract my kitchen and powder room renovation out due to a lack of time & proper tools. Mike is as good as it gets and has an attention to detail that matches mine. From taking down existing walls and demo, to installing custom cabinets and backsplash, he took my entire project from start to finish. He is knowledgable, punctual, trustworthy, and in my opinion very reasonably priced when taking into consideration the quality he delivers.
