Aqua Fun Pools has been building pools since 1963. In 1976, Jim Coughlin, a fence contractor, met Jim Behlman and did some fence work for him. In 1978, Jim and Jim decided to join forces as co-owners of Aqua Fun Pools, Inc. Fencing was a good fit and asset to the business. In 1981, Aqua Fun Pools opened thier first retail store on Hwy 74 (old Hwy 164) in Sussex. They also were teh first to display a hot tub at the Home Show at State Fair Park that year, and most people asked "How can I fit this in my Bathroom?" In 1983, August, the retail store was struck by lightning ans was completely destoryed by Fire. Jim and Jim were determinded to go on, and bought the property and re-built the building while running the business out of an office trailer. They general Contracted their own building. and reopened Memorial Day weekend,1984. The new showroom was much larger, and Aqua Fun began displaying at least 12-15 spas; a tradition that continues today. Aqua Fun has featered Vita Spa since 1998, when a chicago based Pool-A-Rama abruptly left Wisconsin. In May, 2000, Aqua Fun opened a second retail store, and expanded its displays to included above ground pools. This location is on National Ave in the Town of Vernon. In 2002, an outdoor above ground display area was constructed at the Sussex Store. Aqua Fun has a full time, well staffed service department. Servicing not only our own products, but most major name brands in the industry.
