She helped us with colors, light fixtures, kitchen design, master bathroom design, and tile selection. Lucky for us, she also gently dissuaded us from a couple of ideas for which we hadn't considered the downsides. “After seeing some of Jeanine's model units at silo point, we knew we wanted to hire her. She has done two projects for us. For one project, she determined appropriate finishes for a completely gutted condo unit that had nothing in it but walls. She found beautiful kitchen cabinets, wood floors, tile for the bathroom floors and shower, vanities, granite, faucets, lighting, sprial stair case options, among several other things. The place turned out beautifully. The other project she did was our personal home. We moved in and didn't have a clue where to start. She guided us to the right stores and we found some beautiful, quality pieces. Some items were custom made while other came from discount stores. Jeanine is not afraid to mix in a few inexpensive pieces if they work for the room. For example, she found a replica of the valzer floor lamp. The original retails for $2000. For $100 at a local discount store, we received a very similar item. We get tons of compliments on that lamp. Jeanine has many contacts within the community and online companies. She charges only by the hour and passes on all trade discounts to the client. Her rate is very reasonable and she doesn't charge for travel time even if you need her to go to DC. She always works with you to find the best product for the space at the best possible price within a reasonable time frame. I cannot say enough good things about Jeanine. She has great taste, great connections with manufacturers, retailers, and contractors. She knows how to stay on budget, is easy to get along with. She is very accessible and responds quickly to phone calls and email. I highly recommend Jeanine to anyone looking for a designer who understand how to create a modern, contemporary place that is cozy.”

“I worked with Lori to design and furnish my family room and was so happy with the results, that I then asked her to help me update my kitchen. From the beginning, Lori understood the “old world” look and feel I was after. She incorporated a fresh, updated aesthetic with an emphasis on functionality and comfort to give us a family room that far exceeded my expectations. Now we really live in this room everyday and love it. The kitchen required a different approach as we were on a tight budget. It was very outdated, but we were not ready to invest in a total remodel. Lori suggested painting the cabinets, adding a frosted glass backsplash, painting the walls, and changing out our existing breakfast room table to one that, while also having the “old world” feel, was updated with a gorgeous two-toned finish. Her choices featured finishes that were perfect for our active family, giving me the hardy, low-maintenance surfaces I needed. Once again, she “nailed it” and we love our “new” kitchen. It was such a delight to work with Lori. She was very responsive to my ideas, creatively incorporated them into the project, and has a knack for solving tricky problems. Her eye for color is outstanding and she taught me a thing or two about scale! She can work within the budget and deliver a beautiful room and…we are thrilled!”
